"What have you done, really?" Asked a furious Chief Roger Go. We had straight faces painted but none of us dared to say a word. "Failure! You're ruining our image! How come basement-trained vigilantes did a better job taking out this murderer? I did not train you to be losers, Team Cyanide!"

I clenched my fist and sighed. "The Absinthe Spies lured us into a trap using misleading documents planted in the HQ, sir. We apologize for the mistake—"

A sound of a harsh slap filled the room, my pale cheeks slowly turned into a bright shade of red because of the impact.

"I regret having you as Team Captain, Lee. Don't come showing your hideous faces here unless you've figured out who the spies are. This will be your last mission as rookies and as a part of this institution unless you've successfully made it. Dismissed."

We nodded and started exiting the office. Officer Jethro drove us to the HQ and I couldn't help but to feel enraged. I took my uniform off and started beating the crap out of the punching bag.

Harlow jumped in to hug me. "Jayven. Calm down, we need to think about this thoroughly, Cap. I'll make sure they'll have a good beating from you, okay?"

Whoever these Absinthe Spies are.
