The first week of sitting next to Noah was mostly silent with an occasional grunt or two from his end .

Therefore i was expecting the same thing today , i put my stuff down and then sat as usual .

" abrielle . " i turn to him , " i want you to have lunch with me.. if you'd like " he says it as more of a command instead of a question both Nate and Riley turn faster than lightning itself

" she'd love to .. right abrielle ? " i just nod .

He then takes a piece of my hair and places it behind my ear .. i felt a familiar punch in my gut   " green ! " Both Nate and Riley turn to me with worry in their eyes ,

"Mr.Micheals ! I'm going out for water .. "

I push my chair back and head for the classroom door , hearing the whispers of my classmates .

Riley rushes after me , " abrielle you okay ? it's okay , its okay " he brings me in for an embrace and wipes the tears i didn't notice were running down my face . " He touched my hair , the one place .. i just couldn't.."

" i know abby , i know . hey look mr.micheal is letting you take the rest of the period off go across the street , get a tea , and come back before the next class ."

I just nod agressively  , wiping my tears .  I give riley one last hug before leaving school to go to Joe's .

I pick a booth to sit at in the corner , as i wait i hear the door chime . 

" Did a girl with two different eyes come in here ? "  I'd recognize the accent anywhere .

Noah approaches my table and sits down across from me . " What's green ? After i touched you , you yelled green and left to here .. so what the hell did i do ?" he has worry in his eyes and i don't know if I'll be able to tell my story again .

" green  a code word for when im gonna do ..well this . " i whisper .. since  talking is very hard to do for me .

" well then..green will be my code word for when i know that i need to do this .. "

he got up sat next to me wrapping his arms around me and letting me just get comfortable  like this was a normal thing . We just stayed there for a while in silence .. just like when we were in class except much closer . the air was different , everything was just serene and calm again .

no triggers , no bad memories just us.

as if i couldn't be more happy in that moment something or someone had to come and take it away again .  my weakness walked in with the door humming a familiar tune .

the reason for my silence , the cause of my triggers , my rapist with big hazel eyes looking straight at me .

" we need to go , now ! " i whispered in Noah's ear .  " What about your order ? " He asked with concern scratching the back of his neck  , " Forget it .. we need go before he--" 

I stop when i feel the touch of another playing with my hair i turn towards him .

" Hi Carter .. " I look down at my feet  , not knowing what to do. Carter  caresses my cheek and forces me to look at him by brushing his fingers under my chin then abruptly pushed up so we were eye to eye  . " Bri .. you know the rules , get back to school an– who's this ? "  he notices Noah .

" No one Carter can i please go to school ? " I beg . Carter just nods and i hold my breath grabbing Noah , rushing to make it back to school .

" Abrielle .. abrielle ..  ABRIELLE . "   Noah stopped me in the middle of the hallway, "Let go. "  I hadn't notice I was still holding his arm .

" My bad .. " I apologized shyly .

" Abrielle .. who was he ? Back at Joe's ? " He pried .

I took a deep breath in , exhaled it and turned to walk away . Leaving the British wall to wonder why I was so afraid of Carter Mason ..

If only he knew..
