Something about today was different. I finally figured it out when I go downstairs and find my mother on the couch .

I check to see if she's breathing , and to my luck she is .

I clean my mother up , taking the needle out and throwing it away , wiping the drool from her face .

I turn her over to her side and place a bucket by her head preparing for when she puked.

I head back upstairs and start to get ready .

I go towards the back of my closet , and get an outfit .

My shirt is a long sleeve off the shoulder shirt , with maroon skirt overalls .

No revealing clothing !

Rings in the back of my mind but today feels different .. I even put my hair up in a bun .

Arriving I felt like all eyes were on me . I don't blame them , I haven't showed much of my body since Carter .

Speaking of the devil , I catch his eye .

I look away immediately not wanting to feel his gaze burn into my soul , and make eyes with another .. deep blue ones to be exact .

Before I can go up to him ,my two best friends come rushing at me .

" Oh my God hello gorgeous , you look amazing !! " Riley almost screams

" Dude I can see your shoulder , that's totally weird for me . " Nate says rubbing my shoulder .

" Uhm guys quit acting weird , it's just clothes also can you not touch my shoulder it's a little weird . " I laugh .

" Seriously Abby , I think you might've just turned me straight ! Give me a twirl would you ?! " Riley almost dies as I give him a spin .

" Okay babe now I'm going to need you to step away from her , let's go . " Nate takes Riley away as I head to class .

After fifth period to my surprise Noah is standing there waiting for me with a smile on his face , " hey there beautiful . "

I settle on the word beautiful .

" Hey . " I say looking at the ground .

" You know I dislike when you do that..look at the ground . "

This caught my attention ," Why ? "

He comes closer as he does and towers himself over me , forcing me to look at him .

" Because I want to see this gorgeous and stunning face of yours , and these eyes are definitely the thing that pulls me in . "

I feel my breath hitch , but Noah just takes a step back casually as if he didn't just say those words to me .

" Come on , you don't want to be late to class." He says .

I have Noah Grayson walking me to class .

I have Noah Grayson walking ME to class ..

Bloody hell .

Shit .

" Hi Carter ."  I take a deep breath .

He gets close to me grabbing my arm agressively and dragging me into the library , from the hall , " What the fuck do you think you are wearing !? " I unleash his grasp .

' YOU DO NOT OWN ME ANYMORE CARTER ! YOURE TOXIC ' is what i wish i could have said .. but instead i shook my head  profusely .

" I'm sorry , I didn't --  Im sorry Carter . "  I continue to shake with fear , knowing what's going to happen ..

" I don't care if you are fucking sorry , im coming over tonight . And you were late the other day , so that is extra ! " I freeze knowing that my mom's home . She'll hear us .. 

" Carter , you can't ! My mom is home for once . "  This time he grabs me so tight i know for sure I won't be able to get out of it  

"  Do you think I care that your crackhead of a mom is home ? I own  you abrielle OWN .  I do not give a fuck what she thinks or hears got it !?  I will be there at seven sharp . "   He lets go  .

He simply walks away like nothing happened as the librarian gives me a soft smile , knowing she couldn't do anything more about it . 

I leave the library shaken up knowing that my worst fear is about to happen again .. knowing this time will leave me more broken and afraid than the last ...
