six o'clock and other shadows

something sorry about six o'clock
(i cut my nails neatly to meet flesh)

shadows their retro orange sidewards on
(no spare nailscuticleshalfmoons)

the wall those slantwise swerves the
(pairings in the bath much of me there)

way they smudge towards dusk vague
(all thumbs do have other fingers more)

misty red disc so much the queen
(hands are crocodile smooth)

slipped on high but poor all the ways of
(my fingers are lonely)

yesterdays stuck on walls on floors on
(i might kill with these hands i might kill)

gravel on dirt roads the open on
(more with my heat that is in it deeply)

everyone rinsed in longing tea-steeped
(i fetch you to ease you to please you)

memories clear in feeling though in
(only i know how and you know that)

mood i brood of their long goneness
(we talk we smile we think that too don't you)

their sloping eye watch us by
(i unwind to pick up speed do the deed)

recognition an instant smell induced
(what do you need i can supply no lies)

accuracy too much melancholy to live
(i aim to please on this lease you don't know me)

though it is touch and go away
(blood of my bloody past my taste)

something sad about six o'clock shadows
(others take me away)
