Ch.8

I hear noises. I’m trying to open my eyes but the darkness won’t budge. It took me few moments to realize that my surrounding was pitch black with not even a pint of light. How long have I been sleeping? The others were somewhere nearby. I could tell by the voices that they were as terrified as me. My head was spinning I couldn’t think of anything!

“Shut up!!!”

I shuddered by the voice.

“Shut up shut up shut all mouths up!!!”

It was Timothy!

“Panicking won’t do us any good; we need to think of something, we need to get out.”

There was a moment of silence. His voice was broken as if he was crying himself some seconds ago; I could feel that my own cheeks were wet. I was shivering. It was so hard to be calm. There were so many negatives in my head. I wanted to scream off my head but couldn’t find the energy.

“I wanna go home.”

I heard Suzie’s trembling voice right behind me. I didn’t feel anything after that, my body just turned and moved towards the voice. I hugged her.

“Everything’s gonna be okay….we will be okay….okay”

My own voice was trembling, my eyes, cheeks, face…. I was drenched. I tears won’t just stop. I was so scared. I closed my eyes let my limbs loose, my head was throbbing…. I needed to relax. My eyelids went red suddenly; they really hurt. I opened them expecting to see the darkness but it was no more around. I had to cover my eyes with my hand till my eyes adjusted with the sudden light. Then I saw it light showering on us as if the Almighty was sending angels to rescue us. It felt like a ray of hope. The light was warm on my face.

“Aaaaaaarrrrrggghh!!!!!!!!!!!”

Ca-Catniss? I looked around and realized we were trapped inside a room….. a roofless room, no actually the walls weren’t touching the roof. Weird construction.

“Wha-what??”

Max was as terrified as me by that scream.

We looked at the direction Catniss was pointing. SPIDERS!!

Ch.9

Spiders are entering the room from a small opening. Numerous spiders, big and black with a red spot on all the backs.

“B-Black Widow……”

A squeaky voice escaped my throat.

“Huh?”

They all turned to me.

“Black Widows!!!!! Aaaarrrghh!!!! Aaaaa!!! They’re going to devour us!!!!!!!!!!!”

I was screaming at the top of my lungs…. I was crying my head off. I knew too much about these spiders, I always admired the Widow for being so… cruelly dangerous.

“Stop screaming like a ninny, jeez!!”

Catniss was trying to out-shout me.

I was going to shout back just then I felt some warmth at my back, it was soothing, really it helped me calm down. I was enjoying the heat when all the others screamed looking towards me.

“Huh?!!”

I was confused.

“What?”

“Carol don’t stand there, come here!”

Timothy’s voice gave me a shudder, I turned around. I screamed. I ran to the others and collapsed on the floor in the last step. There’s a fire in the room. I looked at the others. Sue, Max, Tim, Cat, Ary…… hey… there was total seven of us, where is Kate? I looked around the room frantically then my eyes unwillingly fixed on the fire. There’s a figure behind the fire, it walked towards us….. Slowly… It walked through the fire, it wore an evil smile and the long blond hair covered the eyes. It was like the fire didn’t have any effect on it. The face was visible when it had crossed the fire, Kate. I am not shocked, I already experienced enough shocks for a day and what was happening now was no less like a T.V show.
