"It's none of your business. We're here to learn, not make friends," the boy with Canadian flag hair said with a glare.

"Well, I don't see how me knowing your name isn't learning," Kae said pivoting to lean on his desk.

"You have horrible manners"

"Thanks," Kae replied through a fake smile. She noticed a caterpillar looking man come in, gave the boy a quick nod and left for her seat

"It took eight seconds for you all to quiet down."

Just as she thought, he's the teacher. She picked up a pencil and started doodling. She knew a long day was coming.

Kae pulled her hair into a high ponytail.

"You have really pretty hair!" A girl with short brown hair exclaimed. She had an air of joy to her. It reminded Kae of bubbles.

"Oh. Thanks! You too..."

"Uraraka Ochako." The girl helped.

"Thanks, Uraraka. My name's Kitsune Kae. But you can just call me Kae- I don't mind."

"Well, it's nice to meet you Kae!" She exclaimed.

"You too!"

"Everyone, It's time to leave!" A girl with black hair in a spikey ponytail announced. Everyone filed out with Kae and Uraraka Talking the whole way.

"...the person with the worst results will be expelled"

"WHAT?!" Everyone shouted in a shocked panic. A large smile grew onto Kae's face the only thing she could think about was how an atrociously boring day was going to be the most entertaining day she ever lived through.

Kae did fairly well on the challenges. She wasn't anywhere near the top though. She had one last chance to prove her talent-- the softball throw. Her quirk doesn't exactly help with strength... or speed... or many physical things at all. She can control shadows. Cool enough. She can do lots of things with it such as hopping from shadow to shadow, she can hop other objects as well. Possessing shadows is another skill but there are lots of setbacks. She has to have the shadow in her line of sight, there's a five-minute time limit And it has to be within 60 feet with her current strength.

What can I do with this? Okay... I could possess the shadow, no. I need it to reach farther! So... ah. I'll hop the ball as far as I can see. Easy.

Kae didn't even pay attention to other people's throws. She was too busy coming up with her "master" plan. When it was finally her turn she took a deep breath and scoped out her surroundings. There were a lot of shadows but finding one that was far away and had other shadows nearby. When she finally found her target she drew back and threw with an outstanding aim. She quickly found another shadow, another and another.

"500," Aizawa said as Kae walked back to her classmates.

"That was really good!" Said a guy with bright yellow hair and a zig-zag embedded upon it.

Kae scoffed at the man's attempt at conversation.

Kae quickly put on her shoes and left the locker room as fast as she can. She noticed the boy who complimented her earlier. Her feet pounded against the tiles as she tried to avoid him.

"Hey!"

"Oh," She took a deep breath and turned around. "Hi."

"What's up? You seem mad"

"I'm not," Kae said crossing her arms. Her eyes rolled in annoyance.

"What's your problem dude?"

" Nothing I just-" Kae looked up avoiding the boy's eyes, "I'm sorry."

"Huh?"

"Uh, my quirk's side effect is apathy. For a period of time after using it I lose a portion of my emotions- It all depends on how much I use it. So I didn't mean to be so rude earlier."

"Oh, Thanks!" The boy flashed a huge smile. It was infectious. Before she even knew it, Kae was smiling ear to ear as well.

"I'm Kitsune Kae, and you?"

"Denki Kaminari but you can call me anytime."

"Well, I'd need your number for that. Wouldn't I?" Kae could feel her face heat up. She wasn't shy to flirting but it was typically just for fun. The number would be deleted the minute the conversation was over. Nothing more would follow. But this guy felt different. She had to admit, he was pretty cute. Also, he wasn't ditching because of her rude personality. That would typically put a stop to it quickly.

"Oh! Yeah totally!" He flashed her a smile and took out his phone.

They finally reached class 1-A. The boy she was talking to earlier was seated the same place they first met. "Oh, do you know that guy's name?"

"Who? Todoroki?"

"I knew it!" Kae exclaimed.

"What do you mean?" Kaminari asked a perplexed look was on his face.

"Well," Kae pivoted to Todoroki, "My best friend, Ai, has a really weird obsession with his family. She always talks of theories about his family."

"Really? Him? She should just focus on me." Kae let out a chuckle.

"Sure! Good luck with that!"

"What? Am I not her type?" Kaminari said, a pout forming.

"Not really," Kae smirked.

"Ai! How was school?"

"Spectacular! Oh my god! There's this super cute girl in my class!" A blush filled the girl's oval face. She was one of the prettiest girls Kae ever met. Her clear blue eyes always glittered when she talking.

"She sounds great! Do you like her?"

"Of course I do," Ai said, a grin forming. Kae laughed, pure joy filled her face. Ai was one of the only people who understood her.

"Oh! Todoroki is in my class." Ai dropped her bag.

"Todoroki Shoto?"

"Yeah, who else would I be talking about?"

"You need to introduce me to him!"

"Maybe someday."
