The morning was breezy and sunny. My favorite combination. I didn't want to stay home though. I was in a mood for a walk, maybe doing some grocery shopping and call the gardener again to treat the garden of the mansion. Hyeoyeon called me so we talked on the phone for a bit. She was having a good time at Jeju island. She even confessed to me that she had a new girl crush. I was so happy for her. She was getting back on her feet again.

I loaded the last night's song on my iPhone and listened to it as I was walking in the city. I loved it. Words were not enough to describe how much I liked listening to it. I had put my heart an soul in it.

On my way home, I got a text message from Tiffany. She was at work, so I was glad to hear from her during her breaks.
"Baby, I'm coming home early today."
"Oh, okay. I missed you anyway!"
I was happy to get such a message. She usually got home really late at night, all tired. I really wanted her to take some rest, even some days off, but Tiffany Young was a workaholic, who was building her singing career.

I prepared lunch. It was one of the few times we got to eat together at noon. I made spaghetti with shrimps, Tiffany's favorite food. When she came home, she rushed on to me, hugged me and suddenly brought her forehead to mine.
"Wow, what's going on?" I asked full of surprise.
"I quit my job."
"Y-you what?" I moved my body away and looked her in the eyes. I couldn't believe what she had just told me. "You didn't."
"Yes, I did."

Silence for a bit. I grabbed her by her hand, sat her down in the kitchen counter and suggested we eat as she was telling me the whole story from the beginning. I was shocked to be honest. How could she leave her successful solo career and quit after so much time? She was getting there. She could be one of the best artists the company owned. Crazy woman.

"I had a straightforward talk with Yoona this morning. She confessed everything to me. Her "love" for me and what she fucking did to you. Then I met the CEO and told him that I didn't want to be there anymore. It was unfair that you were fired and not me. But I guess Yoona always has her ways. When she wants something, she gets it. Spoiled little daughter of the CEO..."
I couldn't believe my ears. That explained everything. Why Yoona had such power in the company, why she was considered the top artist, why she managed to get the CEO only fire me and not Tiffany due to that damned video. Sick fuck...

I took a deep breath and held Tiffany's hand.
"Please, be honest to me. Why did you do this? Tiffany, you were someone important in there."
The woman left her fork down and looked me back.
"I don't like injustice and you know that. I couldn't be working there, when I knew how bad they treated you. I was in that fucking video too. It would have been unfair and cheap, if I stayed in the company... I also didn't want to give Yoona the satisfaction she wanted. It's better that way, Taeyeon. We will make it through. Somehow..."

This was the reality. We were both out of the company for sure. Our only hope was that special song we had. We only had to work on it a bit more if needed and then we would sell it to a music company. And then? Then we could only hope for the best.

"Tiffany, I don't deserve you." I admitted.
"Don't say that..."
"No. I mean it. You do things for me that no one else has ever done. I could never believe that there are people like you. Tiffany, you make me so happy that sometimes that scares me." I said with a trembling voice.
"Baby..." She got up and put me in her arms. "Look. We are in this together. I know it's hard and weird having no job, but we're both talented. We will find something else. Okay?"
I nodded yes. So we continued with our meal. The atmosphere was now lighter. She always knew how to cheer me up with just her encouraging words.

After all, we were in this together.

The preparations for our night's guest's were set. At around 9, Namjoon and Hoseok visited us. It was so good to see them, even though we didn't work together anymore. We all sat at the yard table, next to the front pool. It was a warm night. I brought some finger food and wine for my guests. The guys had also brought a bottle of wine. It was going to be a good night.
