"Hey, love, I can't leave work today. Could you pick up Sunny from school?" I left her a voice message. I was so busy that day. The studio session with my partners was on fire. After the release of my annual mixtape, I was already working on another one special mixtape featuring some of BigHit's best artists, including Jung Hoseok and Tiffany. It was always my pleasure to work with my wife.
"Sure. See you at home?"
"Yes, love."Kim Namjoon and Jung Hoseok were not just my friends and co-workers. They had become more of a family to me. I was so grateful that I had met them back then and that today we were closer than ever. We had so much chemistry at work.
When the guys revealed to us that they wanted to get married, we couldn't be more happy with the exciting news. I knew that these two were destined to be together, since the day I met them. Tiffany and I were so glad to be present and organizing their small wedding.
That evening I left my car in the front yard and rushed home. I accidentally mistaken my keys, because I was trying to text back my friend Hyoyeon simultaneously, but I finally got the right one. I opened the door and all I could see was the cutest little girl running up on me. I squeezed Sunny in my hug and gave her a kiss in her forehead.
"Mommy! I missed you." She said and asked me to lift her up. I couldn't say no to her pleading eyes.Hyeoyeon wasn't living in the city anymore. She decided to start traveling with her current partner. That week she was traveling to Spain in Europe. I loved when she texted me to check on us or when she sent me amazing pictures from her journeys. I was happy for her and I would always wait for her to come back. I missed my best friend after all.
"Aren't uncle Namjoon and uncle Hoseok coming for dinner?" She asked with where innocent voice. I hated to disappoint her.
"No, love. They had to work some more at the studio. But I will personally invite them for dinner this Saturday, so you can stay up a bit more and play with them. Are you okay with that?"
She nodded with excitement and squeezed me tight. There was someone special missing from the picture though.
"Where's mom Tiffany?" I asked her and took her to the living room. The TV was open and my daughter was watching Spongebob Squarepants. My favorite cartoon even at my 32 years of life. We used to watch it together, when I was getting home earlier. We even had favorite episodes and characters. I was "Patric" and she was "Spongebob" of course. Tiffany was "Squidward". It was funny."She's working upstairs." The little one said and grabbed a bowl with chips from the table.
I sat next to her and laid my whole body on the couch. I was so tired. Exhausted. I munched some chips as well.
"Did you do your homework, baby?" I remembered to ask, because Sunny had school the next day.
"Of course." She hugged me and offered me some more of her chips. Some minutes after, Tiffany showed up from the stairs. The most beautiful brunette in the world, wearing her vision glasses and having her hair tied up in a bun. My wife.
"Hello, sweetie." She said and came to sit with us. When she realized Sunny and I were both absorbed by Spongebob, she burst into laughter. I loved seeing her laughing sincerely. She approached me with her body and shoved her head on my neck. And I was sitting there between the two biggest loves of my life. I could never imagine that this would happen to me."Mommy, tell mom Taeyeon what did my teacher say today." The kid suddenly remembered something that got her really excited and I was all ears to get to know about it. I looked at Tiffany with excitement, waiting for the good news.
"I met her teacher today and she told me that Sunny did great on her latest English test. She was the only student that could spell the word "alligator" correctly."
"Is that true, baby?" I asked my daughter and hugged her. She nodded yes.
"Good job! I knew you were a smart kid. You make your parent so proud."
