easier- 5 seconds of summer

Is it easier to stay? Is it easier to go?

I don't wanna know, oh

But I know that I'm never, ever gonna change

And you know that you're always gonna stay the same

"Crystal are you okay?" Vivian asked her bestfriend who was staring out into space.

"I think Shawn and I are done." She said monotonously. She was so overwhelmed by the emotions that she didn't even know how to feel. She was mad at herself for letting Aiden kiss her outside of work. She thinks that Shawn is better off without her. Does he still cry over her? A break-up was new territory to Crystal.

"Crys... Just give him time."

"It been two weeks, V. I think we're done."

"He'll come around, Crys. He really liked you." She tried to comfort her friend.

"I want to call him. Should I call him?" Crystal pulled out her phone. Vivian saw her screen; It was full of blue bubbles which meant that she had been texting Shawn but he hadn't replied once. Vivian frowned.

"I don't know about that... Maybe just give him some space?" She suggested.

Crystal sighed knowing she was right. If the roles were reversed, Crystal would want Shawn to leave her alone and give her time to think.

"Why do I suck at this girlfriend thing so much?" Crystal thought out loud.

"Oh, honey. It'll be okay."

Since Crystal didn't hear a word from Shawn for two and a half weeks, she concluded that they were done. Today was the day that she leaves Canada.

"Crystal are you going to be okay?" Vivian asked, entering Crystal's room. Crystal was packing up the last of her stuff.

"Of course. Why wouldn't I be?" She gave her a smile then proceeded in packing.

"I don't know maybe because you haven't heard from Shawn and you'll be leaving Canada?" Vivian noticed she's acting a bit weird. Was she not heart broken at all?

"Shawn and I are done which means I have nothing to do with Canada until we go back to work." She answered like it wasn't such a big deal.

"Done? Crystal, did you even try calling him?"

"Yes. He didn't pick up. We're done." Crystal lied. She didn't dare call Shawn maybe because of her ego or because she was secretly glad they were done and didn't have to deal with the long distance relationship; the answer she didn't know herself.

"Crys, I think you two should at least have some closure if you both really want this to be over. I know Shawn will hear you out. He really likes you, Crys."

"I don't want to hear it, Vivian. Shawn and I are done." Crystal said more forcibly and slammed her suitcase shut.

"Crystal, I don't know if you know but you're the one that technically cheated. I don't think you're in the position to be upset right now." Vivian had her hands on her hips as she scolded Crystal. Her best friend was being irrational at the whole situation.

"I don't need you to tell me what to do with my life, Vivian." Crystal fired back. She turned to Vivian with her arms crossed on her chest. "And whose side are you on? If you liked Shawn that much, why don't you go and comfort him instead then!"
