I trace my steps. I walk back and forth and back and forth, where is it? I crouch down, peering under the dresser. "Aha" I said aloud. I snatched the keys and stood to my feet. I dusted off my bright red hoodie, swinging the door open. I swiftly walked down the driveway, towards the car. I grabbed the handle and pulled, and pulled. "Huh?" I tilted my head. I looked down in my hand to see keys, but not the keys to the car. My eyes widened, I glanced up at the front door, it's closed. "Great" I groaned. " Just Great". I reached in my pocket for my phone, but instead I pull out a slip of paper. I squint, reading it aloud. "Please come for your appointment on 2/21/2020, 10 am. Thank you
From, Dr. Mokomu.""Dr. Mokomu." I said, biting my tounge. "Better be important" I think to myself as I walk down the sidewalk. I peered down at my watch, 9:34. I picked up my pace and stuck my paws In my jean pockets. As I turned the corner, I could see the clinic up ahead. I swung the door open, letting the warm air brush against my fur. Dr. Mokomu smiled, and waved me over. I hesitated, but It wasn't like I had a choice. I pulled out a chair, and flopped onto It, placing my head In my palm. I gazed out the window, trying to avoid eye contact. She wheeled behind the large desk, and folded her paws. She stared at me trying to get my attention, and It worked. I peered over, to see a folder on the desk, packed with paper. "No." I said firmly. "I'm not touching that." I looked out the window again. She inched the folder closer to me. "He's out of jail." She said, then leaned back In her wheelchair. Tears formed In my eyes, I clenched my fist. I stood up, shoving the chair Into the wall. I grabbed the folder and ripped It In half, slamming It back down on the desk. Mokomu looked at me with worry as hot tears streamed down my face. "I don't want to see him."
