"Morris, please tell me you are still alive?" I sighed but kept my eyes closed. "Are you ready?"

My whole body was drained of energy and probably a bunch of other stuff too. I could barely keep my eyes open and with the little amount of brain power I could generate, I did not want to be playing Melcome's games. "Are you still willing to trick me to my death?"

It was his turn to sigh. "What do I need to say for you to believe me?"

I considered his words for as long as my concentration would allow. "You are going to have to give me a good enough reason for why you are doing this." He paused for a second before reluctantly starting with a question. "Do you know Kimba Rey?"

I thought about my answer for a second, partially appreciating finding out Kimba's last name. "Of course, I'm sure all the guards know who I got out with." Somehow, to my delight, I managed to roll my eyes.

"She is my big sister. I got into this job under the pretence that her being Curst made me hate them but really, I hoped that I would be able to help her to get out of here. Since she managed to get out of here with your help, it's only fair that I help you get back to her." I was stunned by his answer, but this wasn't proof. "Anyone could tell me that story."

"I guess you're just going to have to decide if you are willing to trust me." At that stage I was betting on the fact that I was likely to die whether I took this risk or not. I spotted the needle and keys in his pocket, yet another reason to trust him. Or I guess that needle could contain the lethal injection Clarza was talking about and then, well, at least my death was going to be quick. "So how do I get out of here?"

"I'm going to recommend: The first right, the second left, first right, keep going past the cross roads, left at the end and then keep going down to the doors. Do you think you are ready?" There was a level of sincerity to his voice that made me want to trust him even more. His instructions had been pretty clear but I found my mind repeating them in the hopes that I wouldn't get lost.

"I'm going to trust you. So, I'm going to say thank you for helping me but I do have one more question for you. When I see, Kimba again, do you want me to tell her anything from you?"

His head bowed slightly. "Thanks, just tell her that I'm glad she is out but I need to go now, or you are not going to have enough time."

I finally had to fully focus causing myself a major headache the second I even locked onto the items. As soon as he passed the door frame I managed to pull the keys to my open hand. Once the door shut, I unlocked the arm restraints.

Turning to my right arm, I injected the drug causing myself to wince slightly. This left me with one problem, he had said I only had ten minutes to get out of here and I needed to remove the things off my back.

Panicking, I grabbed the tubes and without thinking too much, I pulled quickly and as hard as I could.

It was as though I could hear everyone of my skin cells ripping as I wrenched the tubs backward. I clenched my jaw against the unbearable pain as the world around me blurred, fire leaking into every corner of my being.

I must have passed out from the pain because the next thing I knew, I was looking up from the floor as someone walked towards my room. My heart seemed to be beating audibly as I scrambled up, searching for somewhere to hide. Realising that there was no point, I grabbed at the restraints, pushing my hands into them in a weak attempt to appear normal.

The pain had decreased extremely allowing me to regain a lot of my focus, but not doing anything to help my jumping nerves as the door handle started to turn.
