Feather: It's beautiful

It was now eight days since we had been there. I had been spending eight, well I guess more like seven, days looking at the same walls and the same beds. Under Joe's instructions, I was still not meant to be allowed to walk and especially not leave the room. One of these were easy to ignore. "Feather Morris, what are your friends gonna say when they see this?"

"Wyren, as long as you don't tell them, then there is no need for them to find out. I am perfectly fine, I just need them to see that." I had been spending the last few days helping Wyren treat all the other patients, which basically meant holding things for him. There weren't really that many patients coming here and the ones that did only stayed for about an hour.

In order to prevent myself from going mad, I had decided to walk laps around the building and yell to Wyren whenever we had a conversation. He was nice and said that he really enjoyed listening so with the amount I was complaining, let's just say we had formed a beautiful friendship.

It was no secret that I was jealous of the others. Kimba had been spending less and less time there because as she put it 'cookery was actually a lot more fun than she had first thought'. For one thing, it wasn't like Kimba to change her mind so quickly and secondly, I'm not sure cookery could ever be that 'fun'. Let's just say that overall I was very suspicious. As for Joe, he had also been spending less time there because he loved his job. I was less suspicious of that.

Alec was also really enjoying his job and although I still saw him a lot, all he could seem to talk about were the amazing things he was up to. I was glad they were happy. It was nice to see all three of them smiling for a change, but I just wanted to be able to have adventures beyond that room. Maybe it was good, I hadn't been sleeping well since I had single handedly destroyed the medical room.

The memory slammed into me like a wall of bricks and I nearly tripped over my own feet. That night I found myself in a guard's mind in the white room section of Torrent's Curst detainment section. I was facing the doors and hesitantly moved my eyes, scared to find out which of the people I was meant to be guarding. My head dropped as I saw Clarza's body draped off of the clamps meant to hold her wrists.

Her skin was like paper and seemed to show all of her veins through it. She was also much thinner then I remembered, with her hollow cheeks forming two large craters in the sides of her face. "Clarza!" I yelled running over to her, totally forgetting for a moment that I wasn't exactly myself. She attempted to flinch back from the guard, so I realised what I was doing and stopped my approach. "It's me, Fe." I tried to think of something more convincing to say but luckily for me, she was used to weird.

"Something seems different about you? New hair cut?" She attempted what I assumed was a weak laugh, but I could barely hear anything that she was saying. I felt a tear run down my face as I remembered the woman who had helped me once upon a time.

"Oh, Clarza." I could feel myself moving towards a full on break down as I was overcome with guilt. I should have forced her to come out with me.

"Now Miss Morris don't you start." She managed to lift her head up to meet mine and although she tried to smile, all I could see were the dark circles beneath her eyes.

"Clarza you need to let me help you, I can get you out this time. We have found somewhere that can help you."

Somehow she managed to make her face look so gentle as though she needed to comfort me. A wave of guilt washed over me, I needed to be stronger this time.

"Fe there is a way that you can help me." I looked at her passionately willing to do anything for her.

"I need you to kill me." She shook her head, seeing me start to protest and continued to speak. "I am going to die here one way or another but with your help I can die on my terms. Fe I just want to be back with my husband, and this is how to do that."
