He hadn't seen Cat in a week. The whole 5 days. I mean, of course he saw her in the hallways, but they always avoided eye contact. Things had gotten extremely awkward, and Michael was happy that she wasn't in any of his classes. He wouldn't know what to do then. This way he can go on without worrying about whether or not he will be partnered up with her for a project. And luckily Ashton had distracted him constantly through out the week, so his thoughts weren't even able to travel over to the hazel-eyed girl with the waves that tumbled over her shoulders. But now here he is. It's Saturday and she's all he can think about. He hears her running through the hallways early in the morning, and her voice echoe through as her Grandmother begins asking about where she's going to college, why she doesn't have a boyfriend yet, and that she is a beautiful young lady. He knew those were things Grandmothers were supposed to say, but yes, he agreed that Cat is a beautiful young lady. Now, it sounds like he is eaves-dropping and yes that is exactly what he is doing. What else is he supposed to do? And the walls were paper-thin, he swore he could hear the couple above him talking about having children. Yeah, like he wanted more loud footsteps above him as he's trying to go to sleep. Sleeping was already a challenge for him, and he surely did not want to hear a screaming baby at 2 in the morning. Maybe he'd move out. Find a different apartment in a different neighborhood. Then maybe he wouldn't have to listen to children screaming, or Cat's beautiful voice or her Grandmother's. Maybe he would get a duplex. Or a small house. He didn't want to be around people anymore. Even if they weren't physically around him. Just hearing their voices annoyed him. He just wanted to be alone. Besides, if he moved out of the apartment then he wouldn't have to hide his drugs, or blades. He wouldn't have to hide anything anymore. He would stay home all day, and he could go to school online. Avoid people all together, well, besides the online teacher. The grocery store delivers, right? Maybe he'd look it up, and look up some places for sale. But then he thought, how am I going to pay for this by myself? Ashton. Or Luke. Or Calum. One of them. Okay maybe he couldn't escape every single being to walk the earth, but he sure could try. He'd talk to Ashton as soon as possible, and make sure he understands what he's aiming for. No parties. No company. If family members come to visit, hotel for them. It sounded so selfish, but he'd like to keep himself away from as many people as he can. So he wouldn't hurt anyone. In a way, this was the most generous thing he's ever done, and with that thought, he called up Ashton.

"Hey, Ashton, it's Michael." He spoke into the phone quietly.

"Oh hi Michael! I was just about to call you." Ashton chirped and whispering was heard in the background.

"What for?" Michael asked nervously.

"Well, Luke just got kicked out of his parent's house... he was wondering if he could stay with you?" Ashton questioned hopefully and Michael let out a breath.

"I was actually about to ask if one of you wanted to rent a duplex with me, I hate this apartment building. What a coincidence." He laughed softly and awkwardly.

"I suppose. You wanna talk to him?" Ashton spoke quickly.

"Sur-.." Was all Michael could say before he heard Luke speak into the phone frantically.

"Hi, hey, hello, Michael?" Michael couldn't help but laugh at his nervousness.

"I'm here." He said.

"Oh cool." Luke voice began to get steady and calm, his "cool" factor coming back. Sometimes Michael wondered if this bad boy attitude was all just an act.

"Yeah so.. I have some rules." Michael said quietly.

"Rules?" Luke asked, and you could hear Calum saying "What the fuck." and Ashton shouting back "Hey don't swear!"

"Yeah, rules. I don't want family coming over. No parties. No friends. Well, besides Ashton and Calum. I mean, I don't even know if they would want to come over. It's fine though, I like them." Michael rambled.

"Yeah sure no problem." Luke said and hung up.
