AJ's POV
I felt safe again. But I had to think of his sake for now so I pulled away.
"Phil, no. You deserve better." I teared up.
"That's not what I want. I want you whatever the odds are." He tried to explain.
"I don't want to keep hurting you. I'm depressed okay? There's no way you can stand me! I'm trying to save you from the misery you're entering." I tried to expound.
"I'll be here and this time I'm never leaving your side." He looked straight into my eyes.
"Please Phil just-" Everything blacked out and I collapsed.
Next thing I knew I was on a hospital bed and my head was aching so bad. Then someone entered the room and it was Phil.
"Hey are you feeling better?" He hurried and asked out of concern.
"My head's just aching so bad. What's going on? Why am I here?" I asked for I was confused.
"The doctors said you had an overdose. Tell me honestly, were you taking illegal drugs?" He sat down and toned his voice down.
"No! I wouldn't dare. But I might've took more than what I was prescribed to take in. I am clinically depressed so they asked me to take in pills for my medication. Recently, when I was mad about myself for everything I kinda wanted everything to stop. So there I took more than I should've." I looked down because of embarrassment.
"Hey, I'm sorry. This wouldn't have happened if I was beside you. Just take some rest okay? I'll be here." He kissed my forehead.
"I love you so much." I touched his face.
"I love you more. Now get well at the soonest phase so we can have a date or some sort. Okay?" He leaned in and kissed my lips gently avoiding to misplace the nasal cannula.
"Yes, I want some cheeseburgers so bad." I smiled then he let out a giggle.
