Defied and So Denied

The thunder calls with booming anger,

I feel it all but the danger,

when least I can suspect,

It strikes me burning my light to death.

Yet, alas I cannot go.

Instead, my eyes just close.

I already know why,

Because God's rath I did defy,

No, not denied it

I testify because it was I,

I who was shown...

Now it's my curse to never go...

Go where the lightening was destined,

I defied his word, and he denied me heaven.
