MAY'S POV
I groaned looking over to my mom from the passenger seat of the car. "Do I have to go? You know I always end up just baby sitting right?" She laughed and I rolled my eyes. "Oh yeah I forgot. Thats the only reason you actually bring me isn't it?"
"Of course not! Madison loves hanging out with you! Plus it gives Joanne a break." My mom explained her eyes still set on the road. I hated going to the pool in the first place let alone be stuck in the kiddy pool with a two year old. Don't get me wrong, I love Madison but she's two what can I possible do with a two year old for 4 hours? I grumbled sliding down in my seat. "Why can't CJ watch her this time?"
"Because your brother is going to Noah's house today alright? We are already in the car your not changing anything alright?" My mom's voice began to rise, time to give up unless I wanted her to start shouting.
"Fine, whatever." I growled practically in a whisper but my mom, surprisingly heard me.
"Don't whatever me, May or you will be grounded." My mom's voice was still risen.
"Okay, sorry." I sighed again, this was going to be a long day. I glanced out my window and watched as all the trees went by at a decent speed. We were just got off the exit all my memories flowed back, I used to live in Mullingar before I moved so this was like a flashback. I smiled weakly at all the old memories I had, I mean I'm only 16 and moved away when I was 8 but those 8 years are full of all these happy times. I really miss it here. Its gorgeous! I was snapped out of my thoughts when we came to a stop, "We're here? Already?"
"Yeah. That's why we're parked!" My mom chuckled but had a sarcastic tone to her voice, well thats who I get my attitude from so it makes sense. I rolled my eyes quick enough my mom didn't notice, she opened her door and turned to me. "Come on, we need to carry in our chairs and meet Aunt Joanne and Aunt Cathy by the pool." I nodded, jumping out of my car seat and running to the back of the car towards the trunk where my mother handed me a blue folding chair to carry. I took it with ease, this might not be too bad! I think this always happens, I dread going to the pool but once I get there it really isnt that bad. "Ready?"
"Heck yeah!" I smiled and this time my mom rolled her eyes. "What?"
"You change your mind so quickly. Your such a teen."My mom sighed.
"Well I am 16." I added a shrug as we walked towards the entrance of the pool.
My mom groaned causing me to chuckle. "Don't remind me!"
"Remind you what? That your old?" I winked at her and she sighed but laughed along with me this time.
"Exactly." My mom nodded at me.
"Hello! Can we have your badges?" A beautiful lifeguard asked standing by the entrance. My mom nodded handing her our badges, after we left it took a lot of fighting for the town to let us still join the pool. "Enjoy your day!" The lifeguard smiled waving as we walked past her turning left going towards the kiddy pool. I jumped suddenly feeling a set of small arms wrap around my legs.
"Hey Madison!" I smiled looking down at my curly haired cousin.
"May May May!" She cheered looking back up at me with such an innocent smile. "AUNT KAWEN!" Madison yelled her attention going straight to my mother who was just putting down her chair. I laughed watching her jump her way over to my mother and giving her a hug. I walked my way over as well behind my bouncing cousin placing my chair down next to my mother, not that I will actually get to sit down very much. I gave my Aunts a hug before Madison had my hand in hers pulling me towards the water. "Come swim May! Come swim!" I nodded and giggled.
