My name is Honna Madden I am Half German and half Irish. I have a twin brother, Keen, and the two of us live in a very broken Home. A few years back, Mom got the call. The one she was dreading for as long as she knew our father. The call explaining there was an accident in the lab and he wouldn’t be coming home. Years passed, and Mom finally remarried. Marcus, he was a friend of dad’s. We all liked him at first but when he lost his job he was never the same.

Mom left us soon after. Not that it was her choice; she never would have left us on her own. They said It was a burglary. The crook must not have realized anyone was home. But we, Marcus and I, knew the truth. A truth that held my life on a very delicate string.

For over a year I’d been stuck in a prison of secrecy, a painful one. You see, Marcus, his drinking became heavy after he lost his job. And his temper grew less stable. The worst part He nearly always got what he wanted; including a near look alike of his late wife to do his bidding.

Keen and I both put so much strength into being able to get out. And we thought we did. We thought we were going to escape our prison soon. With full ride scholarships to Julliard, Julliard! Mother would be so proud of us.

But little did we know, our pride and strength. Our musical talent would very soon become our curse. And bring us to a prison we’d never be able to escape. Those beasts of the night we heard stories about growing up as kids, the legends of ‘cold ones, and blood drinkers… Never would I have thought them to be true.
