Oxygen is Poisonous?

My friend @xXJ05HXx mentioned this, and I did some research, using Quizzclub. I heard of this theory before, but I never thought it could be... true?

Yep, you heard me. Oxygen is poisonous, technically. It kills you from the inside [that is if some disease or outside force kills you first]. Why? Well, we need oxygen to live. If you don't have oxygen, you die. Now, when you breathe in air, your mitochondria (an organ that helps you breathe) turns glucose into ATP (essentially, energy). So, when you breathe in air, your mitochondria (an organ that helps you breathe) turns glucose in ATP (energy).

So, that's how breathing works. You breathe, you get energy, it repeats. Now, when you do this, there are leftover electrons called Free Radicals. Free radicals cause cell damage. But, why does this take 75-100 years? Well, obviously your body is trying to fight these electrons. However, eventually, your body will lose. You will die.

Note: My friend gave me the idea for this, and there is probably more research that I am missing on this conspiracy

For fun: Put your own theory below and I might feature them! :)
