Gumball & Penny: Love at First Sight

Gumball and Penny - The Dance Pt.1

Gumball arose that next morning to the sound of a flock of birds, singing a very soothing tune. He jumped out of bed and got ready for the morning as per usual, said goodbye to the family and walked with Darwin to school.

"So, how'd you sleep?" Asked Darwin

"Yeah, it was good. I had the best dream last night and it was soo magical..." Gumball began to dose off and daydream about Penny.

"Uh dude, you there?"

"......oh oH OH hey sorry about that" said Gumball as if he was accused guilty for a crime.

"Lemme guess, was it about Penny?"

"What? No no you're bluffing I wasn't i mean I was thing about something else uhhh yeah that's totally the reason.. he he" Gumball said whilst blushing hard

"I'm not gonna ask anymore questions because I know that I'm right" Darwin threw a smug looking face at Gumball, whom he hid his face from him."

They were in Math, Gumball hated this class. He was sitting next to Darwin, who was hard at work doing some very weird looking algebra questions. He just wanted this period to be over. Head in hand, he scoured the room trying to find something, ANYthing, interesting.

Banana Joe... nope. Carmen... ehh... Penny. Yes. I like this. Gumball knew he would get into trouble for staring, so he quickly refocused his attention to the board.

It was soo tempting.

But he couldn't hold it back.

He continued to stare for the remainder of the lesson. She was just too beautiful not to look at, she was perfect. This was until his daydream was broken by Miss Simian.

"Watterson! Please stop staring at Miss Fitzgerald and get back to your work, you're already so far behind!"

Gumball became seriously embarrassed and attempted to hide his face from the class, but to no avail. Majority of the students turned to face him... including Penny.

He was utterly ashamed. Some of the students were even snickering at what he was doing. It wasn't the fact that 15 beady pairs of eyes were staring at him, it was that one pair that made him feel down.

Gumball thought Penny would also be incredibly embarrassed, considering she was the person he was staring at.

Instead, Penny gave a heartwarming smile in his direction while blushing and quickly went back to work. Gumball thought to himself that:

'Y'know What? Everything's just gonna be fine' He came to terms with himself and surprisingly did a whole page of questions from his booklet. No homework, the more time I have to play at home, right? Gumball asked himself.

'Or maybe do something else... whatevs haha'

At the Fitzgerald residence:

Penny stood in her room, staring out into the mystical abyss, the sunset mesmerising to her body. Head in hands, she began to close her eyes and think about what was going on in her life.  She knew the dance was tomorrow night, and the thought of Gumball slow dancing with her felt extraordinary, the romantic tensions escalating ever so quickly between the two. Penny pictured themselves after prom skipping towards a forest, lying down on the edge of a majestic waterfall, the surface reflecting the star filled night sky. Gumball would hold her hands, move in closer and kiss her, the thought of that alone was enough to send her into overdrive. "I love you to the ends of the Earth"  she repeated this over and over in her head.

...

She arose from her daydream, her body on the floor like a rag doll and her head spinning her crazy. 'What happened?', Penny stood up and dragged herself to the bathroom and cleaned up her tired self. She then proceeded to make her way to the living room, where the rest of her peanut family were sitting down and having dinner.
