I heard my phone beep. I took it out and saw a message from Apple.

"What?" I said. I couldn't believe she texted me.

**
Aubergine is total jerk. I can't recover.

**

"Why did she tell me this?" I said. It was like just, out of a sudden.

Another text popped up.

**
What do you have right now?
**

I sent her back.

**
Chemistry but we have Maths together after you finish Computer Science.

**

Apple didn't reply.

*

It was already dismissal. My Chemistry was in west wing so I found Honeydew and Cherry walking out.

"Do you guys know where is Apple?" I said. Honeydew was smirking.

I walked away and went for Maths because I just realized I could meet her there.

*
I got in very early and found Apple, her face pale. She sensed my presence and put on her glasses.

"Carrot?" She muttered.

"Ok?" I said. She started to cry.

"Aubergine. I miss him, when we're best friends," She said. Out of a sudden I became nervous and I didn't know what to do. A rush of students came in. There were Spinach, Leek, Tomato, Zucchini, Honeydew, Cherry and many more. I was already sitting beside Apple and lowkey struggling to cheer her up.

"Apple, it's maths. I know you are not like this." I said. She glanced at me.

"Right up! Sit in mentor groups!" Professor Apricot said. I was in Apple's group so I inched closer to Apple as Peas, Lemon and Okra came to us.

"I'll be giving exam papers back, so do corrections by group, rescramble please." Prof. Apricot said. I must move away from her and she finally stood up to sit with Lemon and Honeydew.

"Sorry." I said. Apple has already received her exam paper and she showed it to me.

"Screw it 98 percent!" I said silently.

*
We were having discussions on the paper, but then I was still anxious about Apple. So I walked to her.

"Apple, what's the right answer to this one." I said. I know it would be obvious that I came to her because my group was across the class from her. I could've asked it from Leek if I ever really don't know the answer which was in reality, I do.

"Here." Apple pushed her exam paper up on her desk for me to look at it. Her face was brighter this time so I feel okay.

"Can I have it?" I said. I could see there was a slight smile from her face.

"Yea." She said.

"Thanks." I said.
