IT NOW HAS been about a month since the group arrived at Alexandria, having doubts that life could never go back to the way it was.
It hasn't, but it's gotten a little easier.
Everyone is pretty much happy now that they have a home — a safe haven. It was pretty much like it was back at the prison before the Governor showed up.
Even Isabelle and Rick talked Deanna into having a council so more people have a say in what's going on. So, now it's Deanna, Rick, Izzy, Daryl, Michonne, and Spencer who happened to be Deanna's son. Now, everything began to go more smoothly after the town got used to the new group and how they worked. And the group had gotten more used to the town, too. But, it does get tiring to stay in one place, to try and act normal when the world around them is in shits.
So, that is why a group, Daryl, Rick, Izzy, Dean, Sam, Castiel, and Claire decided to go get some fresh air, and ventured out of Alexandria. They also wanted to check the perimeter just in case something fishy was going on.
But, they were soon sidetracked when something out of the world happened right in front of them.
They covered their eyes as a bright light suddenly appeared, a shape of a person being seen through the blinding light. Suddenly, the light dimmed until it was just a person standing there. The Winchester's gaped at who stood in front of them.
"Gabriel?"
"Howdy, boys." Gabriel stood there in all his glory, clean, freshly shaved, and didn't seem crazy. "And girls."
"What are you doing here?!" Isabelle exclaimed, her brown eyes as she stepped closee towards the angel. "How are you alive?!"
"Sweetie, didn't anyone ever tell you... You can't kill a trickster." He grinned, popping a sucker in his mouth. He then winked at her, holding out his arms. "Come to daddy!"
Izzy grimaced at his words, but then grinned, running towards him. She jumped into his arms and he swung her around before placing her feet back on the ground. He had always been her second favorite angel — second to Castiel.
"What's going on?" Came Rick's voice and Izzy turned to him to see both him and Daryl standing there, arms cross, and eyes narrowed.
Izzy chuckled and slowly walkes towards them. "What? You jealous?"
"I don't get jealous." Rick played it cool as Daryl cleared his throat and shook his head.
Isabelle chuckled before placing a kiss on both their lips, making sure to make it last a little longer than should be so they knew she chose them. Only them.
"Brother?" Castiel questioned, taking a step towards the mischievous angel. "Is that really you?"
"Dad!" Claire exclaimed, grabbing Castiel's arms. She paused, her eyes going wide as she recalled what had just came out of her mouth. She retracted her hand and quickly crossed her arms, looking down at the ground.
"You're a daddy? Awe, how cute!" Exclaimed Gabriel who was grinning from ear to ear. "I guess you all need some answers?"
"Answers for what?" Dean asked, narrowing his eyes at the angel, his hand firmly wrapped around an angel blade. Sam stood beside his brother, chest puffed out.
Gabriel's grin widened. "Dont you want to know how your demon pals are alive and well? I mean, as best as they can be seeing as they're powerless."
"What?" Izzy mumbled. "How do you..."
He clapped his hands. "I did it!" He laughed at their astonished faces. "You see... I was in the empty, and well, I didn't quite like it. It was dark and, well, empty." He chuckled, shaking his head. "So, I went up to the big man inside, made a bargain that if I died again, I would stay, and live happily never after in the cold, dark empty." He clasped his hands. "Of course I had to bring back a couple of your pals or else I knew I would be toast." He slid his finger across his neck and acted like he was dead. "The sad part was that we wouldn't have our powers anymore."
"I was a little reluctant after that bit of information was given, but I wanted out of there so bad that I didn't give care if I came back defenseless," he explained, shaking his head. "Your little demons buddied didn't know about this deal and that's why they were a little confused." He laughed at that before frowning. "I was a little mad, though, that I was still stuck in the empty while they were let out. It took me what seemed like forever just to convince the big man to let me out. So, here I am. Tada!"
The group just stared at him in awe, feeling too many different things to even be able to mutter one syllable.
But, once Dean went to walk forward, Gabriel placed his hands in front of him and closed his eyes, screaming, "wow, wow, wow! Calm down, cowboy!"
Dean glared at him before lowering the angel blade, chuckling. "You're just a useless and defenseless featherly bastard, now. Aren't you?" He laughed, enjoying the offended look Gabriel waw giving him.
Isabelle chuckled and gestured back to Alexandeia. "Come on, Gabe. Let's get you situated."
And the group went back to their new home with a new person, and some newfound information.
