Roxys Pov
I woke up the monday morning to hear my parents screaming downstairs. Fuck. I pulled on my baby blue tube top that was a bit cropped and a pair of high waisted skinny whitewash jeans i slid on my matching jean jacket and my favorite nike's. I put $8 in my backpack and I left Johnny a note. I climbed out the window and slid down the gutter. I jumped down and walked to school. When I arrived I told Pony
"Johnny woke up late."
"Oh okay. Dallas still hadn't come back." I started to get worried. I headed to my locker to get my things and headed to first period.
Dallys Pov:
I knew I couldn't fuck up my streak. I hadn't done one crime a whole month and I had to keep it going. I stopped by the DQ for a burger before I headed home. I paid and sat down eating. A waitress came up to me and started flirting.
"you from around here" she chirped twirling her hair. Her annoying high pitched voice was already ticking me off
"no"
"maybe we can hang out sometime" she said touching my shoulder. I was about to tell her to get lost when a man came in and stormed over.
"What the hell are you doing with my girlfriend" he yelled
"listen buddy but your girl just came up to me flirting dude I ain't have no interest in her" I said sipping on my coke
"Is that true Sophia" he turned to her.
"not at all he requested me as his server" she said all innocent
"listen man you want to take this outside" he said trying to be intimidating
" why not" i stood up threw my remaining food away and headed towards the door. He took the first swing at me I ducked and hit him in the nose. He was stunned but i hit him a few more times before he passed out. The girlfriend was all hysterical as I drove off. I didn't care I needed to see Rox and Johnny quick. I flew down the dirt road in my t-bird.
Roxys Pov
Me and Pony raced down the street as fast as we could luging our backpacks. We both had a hope Dally would be there. I walked in and nobody was there except for Soda and Gianna. I slid down against the door behind me and held me head in my hands. Cmon Dal. Come back. We all needed Dal as bad as he may have seemed. We loved him. I loved him. I loved him. I loved him so friggen much. I can't take it. hot tears streamed down my face in silence. I picked my head up banged it against the door.
"Why. Can't. He. Come. Back. It's. Not. Fair. ITS. NOT FAIR." I screamed. Soda looked genuinely sorry. Pony looked shocked. I'd never been one to cry. But I finally broke. Gianna slid down next to me and I rested my head on her shoulder. The tears didn't stop. It seemed like they never would. Pony called Johnny and in 5 minuets he rushed in and picked me off the floor. I cried into his shoulder. Pony went upstairs to do his homework.
"Why did he leave *hiccup* Why. Johnny" He pulled my head off his chest and wiped my tears. He looked at me
"Rox tell me what happened" I tried to speak but I just hiccuped.
"Rox calm down. What happened" He said fighting back tears of his own.
"he left..... he's gone" I breathed heavily.
"Who is Rox. Who left" he said still holding my face. I just looked at him with sorry eyes.
"you can tell me" Johnny whispered
"I loved him. I DO LOVE HIM"
"Who Roxy you're driving me crazy" He whispered
"Dally" I barley made out before I started bawling again. I ran up to the guest room and slammed the door. I threw myself on the bed and screamed and cried.
Dallys Pov.
Im almost home. Cmon. I looked out my window "Welcome to Tulsa" the sign read, I reached the Curtis house and opened the door. I walked into complete silence.
Johnny looked like a nervous reck. He was fidgeting and mumbling to himself. He looked at me and stood up and that caught everyone's attention. Soda stood up.
"Dallas where have you been" Johnny asked trying to stay calm
" I just needed some time off. How've you been Johnny"
"Really Dal you've been gone for 4 days"
" I told you I needed some alone time. Why are you so pissed off anyways" I asked
Steve Two-Bit walked in Darry walked in from work.
"Hey Dal" Steve exclaimed jumped on my back but failing to stay on.
"hey Dal where've ya been" Two Bit said Darry came over and gave me a hug
"What's up Dally" Darry smiled before heading to the kitchen
"Ahem. Haven't you noticed something" he said gesturing towards Pony Soda Steve and Darry.
"What?" I asked.
"Seriously Dal"
"What?"
"well you think if you love her so much you'd think you'd notice she's not here" Johnny mumbled under his breath
"What you'd say"
"nothing"
Roxys Pov
I was laying head down on my the guest bed crying. I pulled a blanket over me. My whole pillow was practically wet. Ponyboy sat on the edge of the bed rubbing my back.
"I'm going to say hi to Darry Steve and Twobit okay girly"
"mkay" my voice muffled in the pillow.
Dallys Pov
I was saying hi to everyone when I realized something wasn't right.
"Wait a sec when does school get out"
"2:30 why" Darry Answered
"but it's 5:07. Where's Pony and Rox. and why are you not with them Johnny"
"Pony's doing Homework Dal" Johnny said
" And where's Roxy"
"well it's about time you noticed"
" Where is she"
"none of your business"
"Hey Dal" Pony said from the stair case
"Hey kid" I said giving him a hug.
" Do you know where Roxy is"
" Yea she's upstairs"
" Where? in the guest room?"
" Yea"
"Thanks kid" I gave him a pat on the back. I knocked on the door. I tried to open it but it was locked.
"Roxy you in there"
I knocked on the door again. No response. fuck.
Roxys Pov
I heard knocking but I didn't care.
"ROXY OPEN THE DOOR"
"NO"
"WHY NOT"
"BECAUSE"
"BECAUSE WHY. THATS NOT ANSWER"
that's when i realized the voice sounded familiar almost like Dallys but he was away
"BECAUSE I DONT WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT" silence. I went back under my blanket and cried. about 5 minuets later the door lock clicked open. I ignored it and went into a ball. Someone ripped the blanket off me. I looked up. Dallas.
