"Chase"

Waking up to an alarm for a 7:30 practice isn't the best thing to do.

"Maybe I should drop out of track?"

That question should have been listened to.

I get out of bed and go to the bathroom to take a quick shower.

Then I go back to my room passing the kitchen to find my mom already awake and working on break fast.

Shes always that early person in the family.

I give her a smile and continue to go to my room.

I get dressed in some no baggy but baggy pants and a crop top kinda shirt which says a quote about a cat.

It sucks trust me.

But who cares lol.

I take a sweater with a hoodie and try my best to dry my damp hair. But it's not working.

I run downstairs carrying along my backpack and say bye to my mom.

My sister, Leah, was already up and eating her breakfast cereal while I walked out the door.

"See you at school" was the last thing I heard before I shut the door.

[school building 7:35]

I.

Was.

Alone.

Ashton said he'd be here but he's not.

I don't have my phone so its impossible to contact him.

I settle my things on the hard gym floor and watch kids come I to the gym.

But a few girls were already there, I'm guessing for volley ball.

I see no one I know.

Then my friend Liam walks in, I beam and get up to give him a hug but he gave me that "sorry to busy" look. I couldn't blame him, he was after all in boys soccer this season. He's been working hard so I'm not gonna bother him.

I see that this one girl I ALWAYS see in the halls screaming once again.

I'm not sure about though.

I take my hair and put it behind me.

" GIRLS HELP "

The volley ball coach instructed them to help put up the net.

I saw Gabrielle walk in.

Then Josh. I know Josh. He's a good friend.

Then Zack walks in with his hair in a quiff and he just thinks he looks "cool".

Then he walks in.

He's dressed in all black .

Black.

I didn't really notice him until he put his things down, and went over to Gabrielle.

He seemed to look really cute.

The way his face looked.

His nose.

His eyes too.

"Okay cross country lets go!"

We walk out of gym halls and go out side.

"Here"

"Here"

"Here"

"What?"

"Here"

The role call began.

"Ariana Grande-Butera"

I look up, I sigh cause I don't really want anyone to know that part of my name.

"Butera"

So many kids made fun of it in my old school.

So I tend not to put it out there.

I look around and spot everyone's eyes.

"You know I'm the oldest here and yet I'm still short."

I get a few laughs but I guess I'm not that funny.

The coach takes us out to the track, we do a few stretches then we actually do the running.

We started off as a group, then we separated into different groups.

I myself was alone.

On my 6th lap I stopped and finished.

I couldn't take the running anymore.

"That was a good practice start. Tuesday again"

We all nod and start walking back.

That's when we started talking.

/Glennys note/

This was the first chapter!

Kinda sorta not that long but i hope it was interesting enough.

Oooooooooo "that's when we started talking"

I wonder what they're gunna talk about lol.
