Dark to Darker

Awake

Pace around the room; check the phone one more time; pace around again; look at the phone one more time; and repeat.

This was all I was doing on repeat. No texts, no calls, no replies. I wish I knew what to do now, what to say, who to ask. Sighing, I broke the silence and went back to sleep.

I woke up a few minutes later due to a sound from my phone. 'A text, YES,' was all I could think but then easily disappointed since it was from the mysterious person. Another voice message,

"Save them" The voice of a boy and a girl said as I was sent a location. The restaurant which was destroyed.

I ran there; no jacket is needed, and shoes are a social contrast.

Once I reached at the shithole, I felt a buzz on my wrist; It was the watch given at the start. I knew I had to read it, no other choice. It read, 'We can help just follow our orders'. I didn't know what to write back, 'yes please'. It sounded desperate but that's what I was at this point. Another text came through, 'Come to these coordinates'. Time to walk again.

Once there again, I looked and a boy and a girl came out of a nearby bush. Both said nothing but took my hand and took me into the restaurant where I was sat down.

"We did this the year before and last year and it continues to hurt." Said the boy as the girl touched her chest where her heart is, "We are sorry for this". I looked aoround again, for what.

"For What-"

Darkness.

In a room,
A royal palace of sort.
Sat at a table
Food in front of me.
The shadow came in
But the light never left me.
Pictures of my friend hung around.
A piano, A pill bottle,
A painting, A cage,
And a so common whistling
I could hear.
6 flowers burnt,
Left burning
As I left into a corridor.
Another painting?
That damn bird is on it.
6 undeveloped pictures on the floor

As I saw myself disappear.
