The Code

My name is Ashiro Yamaguchi, I'm 17 years old. The one and only son of Tatsu and Misumi Yamaguchi. My dad is ONE of the most prestigious scientists around the world. Both my parents come from wealthy families, my father at a young age inherited my grandparents' fortune because they died, I don't know much about the details of their death but my father was young. On the other hand, my mom was disowned by her family and the reason is still a MYSTERY to me.

I've never met my grandparents, nor I know anyone from my mom's side of the family and for that I could care less of their existence, just like they don't care about us but sometimes I wonder if that's how my mom really feels? At the same time, I don't know even their names to feel some type of attachment to them. I'm sure in all this time, they feel the same way towards us..APATHY !!

The story of how my parents met was told in various gatherings when I was a kid and now I know it by heart. Both were college students and were studying to be scientists, my father fell in love with my mom at first sight, he persuaded her and both got married and eventually I became part of the equation, THE END. Yes, my father brags about their "LOVE STORY" all the time, I just think is boring! Ugh !!! 😒

I remember clearly like if was yesterday... at a very young age my parents used to take me to their gatherings. As soon as we got there, always people approached us, making a circle around us. I couldn't understand what was going on, but I always felt uncomfortable. Eventually my parents split up at the gatherings, my dad with his friends and my mom with hers. Of course I had to stay with my mom and it was frustrating! Her friends all the time wanted to grab my cheeks, and tell me how cute I was (GROSS!!). But I always wondered, what my dad was talking about with such a serious face?

One time I decided to escaped from my mom's evil friends and ran towards my dad. It was completely different the attention that I got from them. Eventually my mom let me to stick around with my dad, but I knew why! My dad was a handsome man and he is very oblivious (to not call him dumb) to women, other than my mom. So he never noticed when they were flirting with him! I served as a REPELLENT!

12 YEARS AGO

This was the start of a bloody and deadly path ahead.

They arrived to the award event; Tatsu was getting more recognition from his amazing advancements in the scientific field. Like always a mob of people approached him and Misumi decided to separate herself with Ashiro, leaving the SPOT LIGHT only to her husband. Ashiro was reluctant to go with her mom after seeing her EVIL friends.

Misumi- Just wait a little!

She told Ashiro, after noticing that Ashiro wanted to go back to his dad. Ashiro being restless, was planning to sneak away, waiting for the perfect moment. Meanwhile-

- Again, don't you think Marielle is too obvious flirting with your husband?

One of Misumi's friend told her. All of them turned to Tatsu's direction, including Ashiro. Although Ashiro didn't understand the situation, he felt cold chills down his spine after seeing his mom.

- You're right! She has no decency even though she knows you're here!

Said other friend and all of them started to feel irritated, but Misumi was raging with anger!

Marielle- Hello Tatsu, is a pleasure to see you!

She extended her hand and nervously Tatsu shook her hand, but when he was about to released her, she hold his hand tighter.

Tatsu- Hello Marielle, the pleasure is mine!

He smiled, being confused and uncomfortable why isn't she letting go of his hand. He knows Misumi is close and he has noticed that there's always tension between them, but they always denied it.

Marielle- Again I see you alone without Misumi, isn't she afraid that someone might steal you? Haha

She released his hand, Tatsu didn't know what to think of that, but regardless he replied-

Tatsu- She knows that I only have eyes for her! Hahaha
Marielle- She's so lucky having a successful and respectful husband like you, makes me a little envious!
Tatsu- ???

Marielle knows how clueless Tatsu can be, but for him not to noticed that she's been flirting with him, was killing her pride as an "Elegant and beautiful woman!"

Marielle- I'll be the hosting the awards, I'm looking forward to see you again Tatsu!

She noticed that Misumi was starring at her, and to spark more anger in her she went next to Tatsu and whispered to his ear.

Marielle- Say my regards to your wife, she looks very lovely today! (Sarcasm)

Tatsu- Thank you, I will!
- when did she see Misumi?

He noticed that someone was starring at him and when he noticed it-

Misumi and her friends were starring furious at him, but Misumi took it to the next level! She innocently smiled, on the other hand Tatsu was smiling and blushing, until... she pointed at him and bringing her hand towards to her neck as if it was a knife showing him how dead 💀 he's going to be once they get home!

Tatsu- Awwck! 😨???

This was the perfect chance for Ashiro to sneak out, and as fast as he could he ran towards his dad and wrapped him hands around him.

Tatsu- Son, what are you doing here?

Misumi noticed that Ashiro was with Tatsu and noticed that women around him awkwardly were backing up.

Misumi- So that's what it took for these rags to go away?!

But this was the beginning of something that even Tatsu himself didn't notice!

- This is your son?!

Some of his companions asked him.

Tatsu- Yes, his my son Ashiro!

- So this is your future successor?

Tatsu- That's what I hope for!

- Ashiro, you can surpass your father's expectations! (Smirks)

Ashiro- ...

THE CODE

My childhood was never a normal one, at a young age my future was laid before me. My dad was preparing me for something I was oblivious to.
On one occasion, we attended an event award. My dad won the most prestigious award for a scientist in developing what could be the beginning to cure Alzheimers.

There's a saying among high society, "We're on top of the food chain." Is something my dad didn't agree with.  My parents always inculcate me to study hard and encourage me to be a doctor or scientist, "for the sake of people ." Of course I care for the "PEOPLE" but inherent my parents' research lab company is not bad, right? Hahaha 😂
For this reason I love books, nope I AM NOT A NERD, OK? Is not math and science books, I also (whispers) read manga! Oh man, if my mom knows about this she'll kill me! She's not going to kill me, I know but trust me she's like a SPARTAN when she gets mad.
You might think, I'm wealthy and young and I don't have to struggle about anything because "I HAVE IT ALL".
Yes, I also thought the same thing, but money can't buy life. (Tears falling) If I knew this sooner I would've dig more deep in why my dad was so eager for me to work in his company but sometimes life doesn't give you a second chance and I learned that the hard way!!

If money can't buy LIFE, then WHAT WILL?!
