Lies /lī/
Noun
Intentionally false statementsHe loved to lie. Why, may you ask? Because with lying, you fuck with the mind and you don't suffer. Except, you have to be a bit cold hearted, like Dean Ambrose. You see, lying isn't so harmful sweetheart. Sometimes, you lie to get your way in such critical moments.
"Hey Dean? Are you going to take long for Cookies's appointment?" Roman asked his blue eyed friend.
"I hope not. But I'll call you when we're done here. Isn't that right Cookie?" Dean said as his husky licked his cheek in agreement. Dean hugged Roman and he sped off to the mall. He wanted to ask Dean to be his boyfriend at their friend's birthday party Friday night so he hurried to get him such gift to show him he meant it. It took him 15 minutes to get to Kay Jewelers Outlet and he suddenly felt nervous. The good type of nervous. He stepped out of the car and sighed with contentment. The store was small but it had a lot to offer.
"Hi there. What are you looking for today sir?" A man in a nice grey suit said as he walked towards Roman.
"Hello. I'm looking for a promise ring for a special someone." Roman said as he looked at the rings in one of the cases.
"You're looking at the wedding rings monsieur. The ones behind you are the ones you seek." He said chuckling softly. Roman blushed slightly but struggled it off with a "thank you." He started searching for the right one but was failing miserably after 10 minutes.
"Monsieur, what is this special someone like, if I may ask." The man asked as Roman sighed.
"He's so special and he doesn't realize it. But I know why he doesn't. He's an enigma but at the same time, he's heaven. The photos do him no justice and oh those adorable dimples. He's Dean. Hopefully soon to be MY Dean." Roman said as the grey suited man smirked.
"I think I got the perfect ring for you monsieur. Wait here." He said as he sped to the back. Roman just imagined the possible outcomes of what could happen with his best friend if he told him how he really felt. It made him fear his decision, but at the same time, keeping it as a secret from him was draining his energy and just fucking with his head. When the man came back, he held a tiny dark blue box. He handed the box to Roman and he gasped when he opened it. It was definitely the one.
"I'll take it. I don't care about the price." Roman rushed to say and the grey man chuckled.
"Monsieur, it will be $500." He said as soon as he scanned it. Roman looked at him confused. The price on the bottom of the box said $750.
"But the price sticker says $750." Roman said.
"Monsieur, I'm giving you a discount." He smiled and Roman smiled back.
"If it starts to get ruined or lost, you can come back and fix the issue. I hope you have a good rest of the day and good luck monsieur." He said as Roman returned the farewell greeting. He smiled so widely as he walked back to his car. He hid the box in his pocket and started the engine. Then his phone rang. He picked up his phone and saw the name "Deanie." He chuckled softly and pressed the green button.
"Ready for me to pick you up?" Roman asked.
"Woof! Woof!" Was Roman's reply and he laughed.
"Alright Cookie. I'll see you in a bit." He said smiling before hanging up. He placed his seatbelt on and drove off to the animal clinic. Traffic decreased and he was arriving at a short time. He was stopped 3 minutes away from the clinic by a red light and he sighed. His mind was thinking of what to say to him before he asked him out. As he was thinking, the light turned green. He placed his foot on the gas petal and started to dash away, And as fast as it changed colors, his colors faded to black in a flash."What room is Roman Reigns in!?" Dean yelled, desperately wanting to good see Roman to make sure he was okay.
"Sir, are you family?" The receptionist asked which cause Dean to think.
"I'm his boyfriend, Dean Ambrose. Of course I'm family." Dean said, hoping she would by it.
"He's in room 105 sir." She said as Dean thanked her and ran off to find his best friend. He took the elevator to the 3rd floor and sighed. He was waiting for Roman to go pick him up but he never showed up. He saw an ambulance and police rush off but shrugged it off until he saw a tow truck. The ambulance rushed off to the way it had come and the tow truck chased it 5 minutes later. And when it passed by, he had recognized the car. It belonged to Roman.
Dean had found Roman's room and held his hand to his mouth. He was connected to a few machines and he was covered in several bandages. He walked up to him and sobbed in his chest.
"Don't leave me Roman. I need you to keep me sane. I need your hugs. I need your smiles. But overall, I need your love because without it, I don't know what to do with myself. I love you Roman." He spoke softly as he continued to cry. He wiped his tears and tried to see if Roman would move. But after 5 minutes, he didn't budge. Dean pulled a chair next to his bed and grabbed Roman's hand. He fell asleep while holding his hand.
"Wake up. Please Roman." He heard a male voice say. He couldn't do anything but hear people speak. It frustrated him how restricted he felt. But he also felt numb, except when someone grabbed his hand and held it. Then like magic, he was able to move. When he opened his eyes, he was blinded by light and he groaned softly. Once his sight was clear, he looked around the room and then he felt a slight tug on his arm. He looked to his right and saw a man holding his hand. He had forgotten about that. He had forgotten what had happened until he looked at the man's hand. He had a ring on his finger and he gasped.
Dean woke up and jumped when he Roman slightly sitting up. He smiled and started to sob uncontrollably in his chest.
"Dean, I'm okay. Please stop crying." Roman said softly and rubbed his hand across Dean's back gently,
"Rome, I thought I lost you. And I would never want to imagine my life without you." Dean said and Roman's eyes started to water a bit.
"Me too Dean. I need you because this world gives me no meaning. But you give me meaning." He said and Dean looked up to him. Roman used his other hand to remove the tears that swam down Dean's face and he smiled.
"So, you're my boyfriend?" Roman said giggling as Dean looked at him confused. He thought about it before he remembered and he blushed slightly.
"Dean Ambrose, are you blushing?" He continued as Dean punched his arm softly.
"I, I uh wanted to come see you as soon as possible so I told them I'm your boyfriend." Dean mumbled loud enough for Roman to hear. Roman got the doctor to find his ring as Dean slept. It was hiding under his pillow.
"Hey Dean?"
"Hm?"
"Can I confess something to you?"
"Of course Rome."
"I know you have a tough time trusting and loving people but I can't do this anymore." Dean looked at him confused and hurt.
"Let me finish. Calm down." Roman said as Dean nodded.
"I can't look at you anymore without wanting to hug you and kiss you. I want you to be mine. I don't want to be just friends anymore. I want to be more than that with you. I have for months now." Roman said as he looked down. Dean's cheeks turned red and he sighed.
"Good to know I'm not the only one who doesn't want to be just friends." He said as Roman looked up at him smiling. Dean grabbed his face and kissed him. They smiled and hugged after their first passionate kiss. Roman grabbed the ring under the pillow and held it up to Dean.
"This is a promise ring Dean. I want you to wear so you can remember every day that I love you with all of my heart. This is the symbol of my love to you." He said as Dean admired it as Roman placed the ring on his finger.
"I love it Rome." He said as he cuddled with Roman on the bed.
"By the way, how was Cookie's appointment?"
