Every man and woman in the world has a soulmate. Anything they write on their arm will appear in their soulmates. A bunch of centaurshit in Remus' opinion, that was until James started getting writings on his arm. It was always the same thing, a date, time and place. When these appeared he used to rush out and start looking for her in whatever place she had written on her arm. Remus didn't mind that behavior. He mostly ignored all Soulmate related stuff, mostly because he thought that even if he did find his soulmate, they could never love something like him.

Every now and then, Remus would get an occasional sketch of a creature on his arm, whoever his soulmate was, they where definitely an amazing Artist. Sometimes the sketches revealed his soulmates location, like the one time he has the giant squid on his arm. James and Sirius, and sometimes Peter, bug him about going out when the picture is incomplete and searching for his soulmate instead of staring at his arm for a few hours,

Months passed and James was still looking for his soulmate. Seeing his determination to find his destiny, Remus decided that he would also attempt to search for his soulmate... maybe...

One quiet evening James saw more notes on his arm, this time pointing at the courtyard, and started running out of the common room yelling behind him that destiny was calling him. Remus scoffed and picked up his book, going back to reading.

After some quiet minutes of Remus reading and nearly falling asleep Sirius nudged him awake "Mate, your arm" Remus looked at his arm and saw lines appearing and after minutes they formed a bone like creature with wings.

"What the hell is that?" Remus looked at Sirius "That's a Thestral mate. Only people that have witnessed death can see them" He answered easily "I've been able to see them since my dad killed a muggle in our basement" he flinched at the thought "Anyways mate, it's not important, your lady or guy is currently in the Forbidden Forest, I think you should go"

Remus sighed heavily and stood up. He picked up his book and walked out of the common room. Minutes later he was inside the Forbidden Forest and started looking for his soulmate. 'This is a bad idea, this is a bad idea' he thought to himself, what if his soulmate dislikes him? What if they don't want to be with him because he's a monster? He was so deep in thought he walked into a tree 'God bloody hell-!'

"Remus?" He turned around quickly "What- Yes- no- I mean-! Wait (Y/N)?" He looked surprised "Uhm hi! W-What are you doing here?" He asked "I could ask you the same thing Remus, I was sketching the thestrals" she answered "Now your turn"

He took a deep breathe "Okay, you might not believe this, and I wouldn't judge you if you don't, but well I'm kinda, I mean I'm-" "A werewolf?" She cut him off "Yes! Wait what no! No no no, I mean why would you think that?" He laughed awkwardly as (Y/N) raised an eyebrow "Come on Remus, it's pretty clear. Missing at full moons, full of scratches, an awful amount of wolf puns by James and Sirius and of course 'Moony' Mr Werewolf McWerewolf" she chuckled softly "And I've known for a while, I don't feel any different than I did when we met! A (Y/H/H) and a Gryffindor, working on Transfiguration homework!"

Remus laughed "Well I set myself up for the last two I suppose. It's good you don't mind me because well" he scratched the back of his neck "I was going to say I think I'm your soulmate" he finished blushing lightly

"Oh....." (Y/N) blushed too and pushed up her arm "We're.... connected?" She smiled. He returned her smile "Yeah we are...."

(Y/N) stood up and looked at him smiling before hugging him "I'm happy it's you Rem. I've always... liked you"

Remus hugged her back "And I've always liked you (N/N)"

(Y/) and Remus looked at each other for a few moments before pressing their lips against each other's. It was awkward but definitely full of love. When they pulled away they both smiled "Sirius and James aren't going to let me live this down, ever" he laughed while (Y/N) grinned "(F/N) isn't letting me live this down either!"

They both laughed again taking each other's hands and walking towards the castle together
