I turned on my side while wrapped in my blanket, listening to my alarm screech. I stayed there for a while just wondering if being an educated witch is worth the under-eye bags.
I flicked my finger into the air and my alarm clock flew into the wall, falling silent. I sighed and literally rolled out of my bed. I stood and faced the mirror, seeing a massive pile of curls standing straight up on my head. I rolled my eyes and stripped.
I turned on the shower and watched the steam settle on the mirror in the bathroom. I examined my body. I hated it. I was so limp and skinny. I feel as if I have,"No meat on my bones".. as Hagrid would tell me. My freckles show more now that Ive been to the beach and my brown eyes just look like shit circles.
I stepped into the shower and let the water run over my body. I stood there in deep thought. Today is the day that marks my seventh year at Hogwarts. I've finally made it. Don't get me wrong, I love school. I love the work, the promptness, and the responsibility. I finished my shower and wrapped a towel around my body.
There was a slight knock on my door. "Hermione? Sweetheart? Are you up and getting prepared for school?" my mother sung through the door. "Yes momma, I've just had my shower and such." I replied to her. She was satisfied with my answer because I heard her heels clicking away from my door.
I put on a Nike sports bra and panties. I rubbed myself down with pumpkin and cinnamon scented lotion before putting on a black hoodie and skinny jeans. My wet slopping hair was sticking to my neck so I pulled out my blow dryer and tried to manage my lion mane. I finally saw that it was dry and straightened my curls out. I was known for my curls but I've always hated them. all they were was trouble.
I opened a little bag of makeup and applied and little concealer to hide my tiredness and blush to wake me up. I applied mascara and brushed my eyebrows with gel. I glossed my slightly pink lips and was ready to start a new adventure.
I traveled down the stairs in my parents flat and hurried into the kitchen. I was starving and my mother was already aware of that I suppose. She handed me a plate of oatmeal with bananas and blueberries on top. Her warm smile and wrinkled eyes made my heart melt. I wrapped my arms around her and said, " I love you. I'm lucky to have a mother as wonderful as you." She sniffled. " My little 'mione is all grown up. What ever will I do?" she cried. I chuckled and finished my breakfast.
I grabbed my trunk and crookshanks cage, heading to the car. I drove all the way until we hit a coffee shop. I had time to spare so I ordered myself and Iced coffee and my mother a small plain coffee. She wanted to pay but I refused. Since the war, The ministry had rewarded all students with a small fortune for their efforts against The Dark Lord. It was no harm to me to pay for my mums coffee. I giggled a bit. She drove the rest of the way to the train station while we listened to music. We arrived at the station with five minutes to spare.
I looked at my mother knowing I wouldn't see her for a while. She smiled and her wrinkly eyes bunched together on the sides of her face. She kissed my cheek and told me she loved me, to behave myself, and stay away from men. I laughed at her and looked at my cup. It was almost empty. I waved my finger over it and whispered a spell. The cup started to refill itself with more coffee and my mother scoffed. " What have I told you about using magic out in public? You could have been seen!" I chuckled and hugged her once more. I walked through the platform and looked around for my friends. I couldn't see them.
"They are probably running late as usual." I thought to myself.
Then I felt hands on my shoulders and a sudden yell. I squealed. I turn to see Harry and Ron laughing up a storm. I left my cheeks go pink and looked at the ground. This was the first time I had seen Ronald since we kissed in the chamber. Harry noticed my discomfort and said, " Alright lads... let's get on the fucking train shall we?" I nodded and followed him into the train. We sat in the same old and moldy smelling cart.
Harry, Ron and I all small talked and asked how the summer break went. I sipped on my coffee and the boys just stared. "What?" I asked. The boys just looked at my coffee and then looked at me. I rolled my eyes. " It's coffee, typically consumed by muggles. If you had payed attention in muggle studies last year, you would already know." I stated. They rolled their eyes as well and Harry said, "Hermione. We aren't looking at your coffee. Your zipper is undone." I gasped and looked at my pants. Indeed it was. I nervously giggled and pulled the zipper back up.

We have finally arrived at Hogwarts. The population her is so, so small. A lot of students were murdered during the war. The houses all sat at each other's tables. Some Hufflepuff were sitting with Ravenclaw and some Gryffindor with Slytherin. They weren't enough students anymore to need to keep order. We feasted on ham and potatoes and chatted during dinner.
I felt someone seat themselves next to me and I look over. Malfoy. My rolling eyes looked like slot gambling machines. My brain raced with thoughts. Draco hates me, so why would he be sitting this close?
Draco smirked at me and said," Hello mud-blood. I see you haven't changed a bit." and I just sighed. I hated when he called me that. Thankfully, Harry came to my rescue. " Fuck off Malfoy. She obviously doesn't care about you and your obnoxious personality",he said. I giggled and Malfoy's smirk faltered. " She will soon enough I suppose." he spit. Now what in the world did that mean?
