"I want our baby to live. I want our baby to live."
"We're going to be alright. You don't need to worry about that now. Nothing matters now."
"Jaime. This can't be the end."
Jaime took Cersei into his arms. He held her with the strongest hold imaginable. This was the last moment he could have with her.
"I want you to listen to me. You have me."
Jaime's eyes glossed at the walls in front of him as he swallowed his pain.
It was impossible. Maybe he was hallucinating. Did he have anything to lose now?
Without a word, he grabbed Cersei and ran for an open, dark tunnel. Cersei screamed at him to hurry as she could see the bricks gaining on them from behind.
The pair of Lannisters were left with nothing but the sound of their panting breath and whistling winds coming from the end of the darkness.
Jaime slowed down his racing in agony of his wounds.
"Cersei, if I can't catch up with you, don't..."
"I won't accept that."
Cersei hated the tears flowing from her face. She grabbed Jaime's hand and rushed him to the exit.
"I'm not losing you again."
The fate that they would meet beyond the tunnel was unknown.
Jaime couldn't help but think he would die slowly but surely, leaving Cersei at one of her greatest losses and their child without a father.
They had to come out of this together. Death would be a preference if they didn't.
