BTS lives in a world where soulmates are bounded to feel each other's pain.
This is similar to a Greek legend passed down through oral tradition tells of how humans were too powerful, so the thunder god Zeus had to split them into two. Humans were forced to wander earth, looking for their other parts.
However, in this world, when one soulmate feels pain, both physically and/or emotionally, the other does as well. The pain they experience helps guide them to their mate, but cannot fully tell them about their soulmate.
Note: This is NOT Omegaverse.
Park Jimin lives in a tiny studio in a bad part of Busan. He dreams of becoming a dancer and works hard for it, but is always told that it isn't enough. He goes to Crescent Moon High, a school notorious for its connections with the underground.
Unlike most other students, who are happy with scrappy lives they have, Jimin dreams to be a part of the good world outside, where kindness isn't regarded as weakness, everything you do has an impact, and drugs are illegal.
He wants to escape Busan, but one thing is keeping him there— Yoongi.
Min Yoongi is an cold, judging, and manipulative ball of fluff. He's deep into the underground scheme of CMHS, and enjoys being at the top. Jimin is his only connection from his past, when they were trainees at YG Entertainment (Bear with me, I know this is incorrect).
After leaving YG for reasons yet to be explained, his dreams completely bashed, he threw himself into mindless activities. He ignores Jimin at all costs, making sure no one knows about YG, and fighting back dangerous past memories.
His secret? He wanted to become a rapper.
