"These people really going all out for us," Janet said, speaking to her dear friends as they had been seated with her at a rectangular shaped table.

It had been around eight-thirty in the morning, and four out of the five couples gave their presences to a private, provided area where a breakfast buffet was served.

"It's all cause of you and my boy Boris," Shemar said, replying to Janet. He had been seated next to his wife, storing his body of homemade waffles and slices of turkey bacon.

"He ain't lying," Whitney agreed, also replying to her friend. "Except for them bringing that damn Oprah here. I still wanna kick ha' ass."

Bobby moved his head from side to side, in disbelief that his wife continued to be annoyed by the celebrity's presence. "Baby, you need to gon' and get over that. Forreal. Oprah's stiff-wig-wearing ass ain't did shit to you."

While everyone else at the table fell into laughter, finding humor in what the man mouthed, Whitney waved her husband off. She didn't care if Oprah hadn't done anything personal to her, she still disliked her.

"Enough about Oprah," Boris intervened, his eyes traveled through everyone else's. "Did y'all get those letters they slid under our doors again this morning?"

"Yeah, we got it," Toni answered, taking a bite of the bacon upon her plate. "But I don't understand why we need to do a second meeting so soon. That's too much." She then pointed towards the other women—Janet, Angela, and Whitney—at the table.

"Cause Whitney's ass messed up the first one," Janet said, laughing a bit. "Them damn people wasn't expecting that." She was right. The letter the couples were given of this particular day was more so directed towards the women as it instructed them to meet at another location for a do-over, since the previous meeting hadn't gone as planned.

"Yeah, Whitney," Idris looked over into her direction, "security had to escort you out, huh?"

Whitney's eyes rolled to the rear of her head. "Chile, please. And you know what? I ain't going to no damn meeting today." Her shoulders moved in an up and down fashion. "I know we came here for a retreat and all, but goddamnit I'm ready to have some fun. Fuck that meeting."

"I agree with Whitney," Toni added, rising from the table and walking into the direction of which the food rested. "Let's go somewhere. Walk the strip? Do some shopping or something?" She looked over at Janet.

Janet replied with, "that's fine with me." She then gave her eyes to her husband. "But what will you men do? While us girls are out and about?"

Now, while Janet and Whitney tried to assist the men at the table of possible suggestions as to how they could spend their day, Angela had rose from where she was seated and marched within Toni's direction.
She began to place more food onto her plate, acting as if she desired more. But truthfully, she hadn't been craving any further servings. She wanted to bring up what she had witnessed of Toni and Janet about the night before, but didn't exactly know how. Especially with everyone else around.

"Oh hey, Angie," Toni said, realizing her dear friend was fairly close to her. "Getting you some more of those scrambled eggs, huh?" She watched as the woman's head moved in an up and down fashion, but couldn't help but to find it strange that she didn't receive a verbal answer. "Y'know, you shol' been mighty quiet this morning. You alright, girl?"

"Me?" Angela's eyes widened as she motioned within herself. "Oh, yeah. Yeah, I'm fine." She quickly turned to their friends still seated at the table to make sure they weren't paying any attention, then faced the woman again and said, "Toni—girl—I'm sorry but I'm really concerned for you right now."
