Dear Baby,
People say I should try writing to you even though six months have already passed. They say that it's a way of keeping track of everything I would want you to know. Now I'm not saying that I'm going to write to you everyday but I want to try and write to you as much as I possibly can. I'll have to start with when I first found out about you. It was early May and I was twenty two about to get out of college for the summer. My period was late so I made an appointment at the clinic near the college, and my best friend went with me because I needed the support. The nurse handed me an empty cup and asked me for a urine sample, waiting for them to get back the results felt like weeks. When I got the call I was with a group of friends and I had to go to the restroom to answer the call. Hearing the doctor say the words "you're pregnant" caused me to hang up the phone and sit on the floor to process it. I must have been in there for a long time because my friends came to the door and asked if everything was ok. I remember telling them that I was fine then rushing out to go back to my almost empty dorm. First finding out about you was something that I'm never going forget.
