"What shop is this?" I asked Cole.

The store was mainly black and white with a couple of neutral colours here and there. The store was called The White Oak Tree.

"A boutique?" He replied. "Don't you know your fashion stores?"

We walked inside and there were many and I mean many clothes.  Clothes shopping is the worst, my 'mother' took me once all she saw were clothes but honestly I only saw the sitting area.

"Why am I here?" I whined. "No.."

"For a tux." He smiled suspiciously.

"Oh sure." I pointed at the clothes. "It has dresses though."

"Oh yes, I'm gonna make you go as a princess to The Valentines Ball." He smirked.

"No." I turned around and started to head for the door. "Never."

"It's unisex, smarty." He gestured towards the men's section.

"Oh.." I walked back to him. "I knew that."

"Of course you did." He shook his head with amusement. "Let's go to customer service quickly."

We walked to the area. There were other people getting measured and looking at clothes.

"That looks nice." I went towards a blue tuxedo and checked the price 'R19999'. Walk away, walk away. "Holy shit."

"Do you like that?" He raised his eyebrows. I shook my head. "Please, I know this is a pricey place but I've never gone shopping with another guy, it's always me having to go with my daughters or wife."

"I feel for you." I patted his back.

"But do you like it?" He looked into my eyes. No pressure.

"Well, erm, it's expensive." I rubbed the back of my neck.

"Of course it is." He picked it up and observed it, checked the price tag. "This type of material, for this price?" His eyes widened. "Its a bloody good price."

"Is it?"

"Of course!" He handed the suit to me. "Now, let's go get your measurments."

We walked over to a lady and Cole tapped her on the shoulder.

"Mr Hirst." The lady's eyes widened.

"Hello, I'd like you to measure up my Godson over here."

"Of course, Mr Hirst." She studied me. "Can you stand on this please, Sir?" She asked me.

"Sure." I stood up onto it and she began to measure my lengths. "Haha, that tickles." I wiggled around whilst she was measuring my size for my suit.

"Excuse me Sir but could you please stop moving around so we can get this done."

"Listen to the lady, John." Cole said.

"Sorry ma'am."

I stood up straight so that she could finish measuring me up.

"Cole." I whined. "Why do we have to be so fancy for the ball?"

"You want to dress to impress." He stood up. "Not make a fool of yourself and look like you don't want to be there."

"Wise words."

"So." His eyes wondered the room. "Who are you thinking of taking?"

"Uhm.." I blushed. "Don't kill me." He raised an eyebrow. "Imthinkingoftakingcat."

"Taking who?" His eyes narrowed at me.

"A cat I found in a box this morning."

Good cover there John.

"I'm not stupid, you do know that right?"

Bad cover John, stupid.

"Of course I do, You're the most intellectual person I know."

"That's better." He huffed.

"So may I take her?"

One word, just one. AWKWARD.

"Sure."

He Made Me Go Through That Serious Moment For A 'Sure' It's Not Even A 'Of Course, I Approve' Gosh.

We walked over to the counter to pay for the item.

"Okay, Your item will arive within a weeks notice, You also get complimentry shoes." She said to Cole

"Okay." He replied and handed her his Platnium card.

"Cheque or savings?" The cashier asked as she swiped the card through the machine.

"Savings." He replied and she pressed the button.

She pressed the 'savings' button and handed him the debit card machine. He then typed in his pin for the debit card, we all looked away.

"Thank you for shopping with us." She said.

He smiled and we walked out back into the car and started driving home

"Thank you."

"For?"

"Being so nice to me." I paused. "And giving."

"It's okay." He put his hand on my back. "I've been through the same thing."

"What do you mean same thing?"

"My father died of thyroid cancer but basically starvation due to the fact he wasn't able to consume food." His voice began to croak. "And after that incident, my mother was never the same, She re-married a man that was the opposite of my father, I always thought that man was possessed or something because one night he came to me and cut my arm." Tears started to fall down his cheeks. "The only reason for him to cut me was because I neglected him, didn't think of him as a father, I was depressed already from my father's passing, He only made it worse."

I looked at him whilst he wiped his tears with his checkered handkerchief.

"So what happened to you after that?" I asked.

He smiled.

"That's to painful to talk about right now."

He tightened his grip around the staring wheel and put on the radio.

End of Chapter 5.

Author's Thought's:

So? What did you think? Didn't see that coming now did you? Always expect the unexpected.

I know it's short but the next one will be longer, promise. *winks*

The reason for this shortness is becasue I wanna do a backround on all the characters lives starting with Cole. The story will still go on but each of the characters will tell you their story in it. I feel that I haven't really told you theirs so I am going to now. (:
