Lyssa POV
"Fine. The secret is- The secret is- I- Umm- I- I can see people's past lives." I said.
"And your other secret." It asked.
"I- Umm- I- When- I tried to- to- commit suicide after I got raped." I said.
"And the other one?" It said.
"No! You can't expect me to share that!" I exclaimed.
"Then your friends die." It said.
"Fine. I'm not just daughter of Hephaestus. I'm daughter of Hephaestus and Aphrodite." I said.
"Good. Now I will go." It said. It gave me one last bit of torture then vanished. I collapsed to the floor.
When I woke up, Connor, Pippi and Leo were stood over me.
"Lyss. Why did you tell him?" Pippi asked.
"I had to. Otherwise he would have killed you all." I said.
"Lyssa, you need to stop being so loyal." Pippi said.
I sat up slowly. "How long have I been out?"
"3 days." Leo said.
"3 DAYS!" I exclaimed. "No wonder I'm so hungry!"
Leo grinned. "And she's back. So. You are a daughter of Hephaestus and Aphrodite?"
"Yeas. But it's complicated. I'm not a goddess." I said.
"How does that work?" Leo asked.
"Well. Aphrodite had supposedly become pregnant 3 times. With Hephaestus, Ares and some mortal dude." I said. "So technically I have the traits of all of them."
"So who was the mortal dude?" asked Leo.
"I don't know. But I'm gonna find out." I said.
Connor had been surprisingly quiet throughout the whole thing.
I looked at him. "This arrived for you today." He said. He handed me a letter.
I quickly scanned through it. Artemis trying to recruit me again. Leo and Pippi saw this as the time to leave.
"I understand if- if you-" he began.
I ripped the letter up. "Why would I wanna do that? Then I wouldn't be able to marry you!"
"Wait, when are we getting married?" he asked.
"Oh dam. Did I just say that out loud?" I asked.
He grinned at me and kissed me. I kissed him back.
"So. You got raped and tried to commit suicide. You can see people's past lives." He said.
"Yup. I didn't get preggers though!" I said. "And I can see people's past lives, though most of the time I just see their past." I said.
"Well. You'll be a great mother some day." He said.
"Only if you're the father." I said.
Then a voice piped up from the door. "Was that really necessary dude!" Pippi exclaimed.
"You can hardly speak! Have you seen yourself with Leo lately?" I said.
She grinned. Then she frowned.
"What is it?" I asked.
"You know we were gonna go back a few weeks late to school. Well, the school have rung us back and demanded that we be back for the start of term. Which is tomorrow." She said.
"WHAT?!" I exclaimed.
"I know!" she said.

I kissed Connor one last time before heading down the hill. We got in Argus' van and he drove us to school.
When we got out, our best friend Lizzi was there. She ran up to us. We were talking all the way into class.
Then the teacher said that three new girls would be starting. Lyssa, Lizzi and I looked up at the door.
"This is Nicola, Connie and Lea." She said. They looked familiar.
At break, I remembered where I knew Connie from. She was my arch-nemesis at my old school.
I walked up to her. "Look. Connie. I had enough of your problems in 3rd Grade. I don't need you here again." I said.
Time skip till the after noon.
We walked up to the dorms. The new girls were opposite us. Their voices sounded weird, almost manly. We listened outside when Connie said she had to go downstairs. We hid and then continued to listen. Then they opened the door.
"Dam." I said.
"Aphrodite sure did put a lot of work in!" Lea said.
"Wait WHAT?" I asked.
"Dude! How can you not recognise me!" Lea said.
"Leo!" Pippi said.
"Oh schist." I said.
"What is it Lyssa?" Pippi asked.
"Well. I knew I recognised 'Connie' from somewhere and 'she' reminded me of my arch-nemesis and I told her I didn't want any problems." I said.
"Umm guys. Should we really be discussing this in front of a mortal?" Nico asked.
"Oh no! Carry on! I don't have a donut about what your talking about, so don't mind me." Lizzi said.
Just then a trident appeared over Lizzis head.
"Welcome to the family, sister." Pippi said.
