Lizzi POV

Lyssa and Pippi showed me everything about camp. It was great. We were playing Capture the Flag and I was guarding the flag. Then Nico shadow traveled took the flag and shadow traveled back.

Kim said it was unfair, but I personally thought it was quite smart.

I continued to watch Nico. I was fascinated. He was such a complex person. He was all serious and isolated to everyone, but under neath was something else.

One day, Pippi caught me looking at him.

"You got a crush?" she asked.

"No, at least I don't think so. He's just a complex person. He is serious and isolated and cold on the surface but underneath is different. I've already figured out that there is intelligence and competitiveness, but there is something else too." I said.

"Well. What's really confusing me is you and Jamie!" she said.

"We always knew we had different fathers." I said. "Oh fudge nuggets. That reminds me. I'm supposed to help Kim organise her bookshelf this after noon and I need to finish kitchen duty."

"I'll help." Pippi said.

"Thanks." I said.

She helped me with both jobs and we were done in no time.

Then I went back to my usual schedule. Training and observation.

I went to the arena and hacked some dummies. When all of them were beaten to a pulp, someone clapped. I turned around. It was Nico. I blushed slightly. Must have been the.... umm.. adrenaline!

"What's up?" I asked.

"You. You're different from the rest. You are very abrupt and have interesting sayings from the outside. But there is something different underneath." He said.

How weird was that? I'd literally just said the same thing to Pippi!

"I feel like I'm a frog in biology." I said.

"Sorry, I just observe people a lot. Most of the campers tend not to bother with me. They think I'm weird or gothic." He said.

"Well everyone thinks I'm a pscho maniac who talks weirdly and should be in Hades." I said.

"But your not. And you shouldn't be in Hades." He said. "That's the thing that intrigues me."

"Oh." I said, not wanting to say I'd been thinking the same thing, or wanting to say I'd have enjoyed being in Hades.

"I'll leave you to train, but one piece of advise, you are quite small. Use that to your advantage." He said. He left without another word. I smiled to myself.
