Description: Black, dark brown, brown, brownish-red, varying shades of gray, or white scales; four glowing yellow eyes; large ears; two pairs of horns; small antennas; long and sharp teeth; plated back with little spikes on the end of them; eight legs, one pair in front that is bigger and claws are sharper; fly(bug)-like wings; lean body shape; long tail with small spikes on the end; small flap of wing membrane on last pair of legs; all wing membrane is transparent.
Abilities: Can unhinge jaw; excellent night vision; good flyers; amazing diggers; front claws used for digging; great runners and swimmers; shoot water-like substance that they use to polish sharp rocks and clean tunnels.
Leaders: Tremor and Arachnid
Lives: Underground under most of the land in between the Hives and a little past the Mantis and Bloodworm Hive.
Kingdom Name: The Tunnels
Tribe Relationship: All respectful of each-other, mates usually stay mates for life unless one of them dies or hostility grows too much. Mostly 1-3 dragonets.
Relationship with Other Tribes: Hidden from the Surface Tribes, but over the years have grown more curious about the world above them. Some hybrids have been born.
Attitude Towards Hybrids: Like any other RootWing, if you do your job and you stay alive you're a member like everyone else. Deformities can result in gossip though, the RootWings do get easily bored and will talk about literally anything.
Culture Details: Have dug out caves and divots in the main tunnels to make way for homes, parks, shops, and schools. School hours usually last from morning to mid-day, about five hours of school a day. Parents teach dragonets how to do chores and control their blast to help polish their home. Dragons choose two leaders out of eight to be their leaders.
History: Used to live above ground and burrowed under the roots of trees and forests to make their home. That's how their name was made. They worked alongside the LeafWings and HiveWings and settled arguments. They helped the HiveWings build the Hives. But ever since the Tree Wars broke out they fled to the ancient tunnels made by their ancestors to hide. The HiveWings assumed that the RootWings died with the LeafWings and removed the mention of the four eyed, eight legged dragons from history. The RootWings adapted to life underground and nearly forgot they were just hiding and decided to stay and thrive in the Tunnels.
