Nobody's P.O.V

Two police officers walked up to the dead body in the ally. One of them reached into their pocket and took out some gloves, while the other one search the area.

The police officer picked up a black and green sweater, along with a black and white shirt.

They both had names written on the tags. Garroth Ro'Maeve and Laurance Zhval.

The police officer gasped.

"...S-Sarah! Come here I got a trace!"

Garroth's P.O.V

I looked away from the screen and looked and Laurance.

"Laurance, what are we gonna do...?"

"...We should probably go to my aunts house...she'll know what to do. But first with should probably get something to eat." Laurance had said.

I looked at Laurance for a few seconds, then nodded, both of us walking out the bus station.

At some sort of fast food place...

Laurance and I had already order something to eat, but for some reason Laurance was still looking at the menu.

I might as well tell him why I had the knife...

"The pocket knife...was from my uncle..."

Laurance looked up at me slowly and bit his lip.

"What was it for...?" He asked in a low tone.

"....camping...when you need to make a bond fire and stuff like that..."

Laurance stared at me for a few seconds and looked back down at the menu.

"Yeah, because that's a big thing where we live, isn't it?" Laurance chuckled, even though worry was clearly present on his face.

"Who brings a pocket knife with them everywhere they go Garroth? Tell me."

I shrugged, giving Laurance a bland answer.

Why was he so scared of me...? That's not...fair...

I had protected him...

I grabbed some of the syrup packets and organized them by size, giving myself something to do.

Laurance's P.O.V

There's definitely something wrong with him...

"...What's the matter?" Garroth had asked, making me jump a bit in my seat.

"...what's the matter?!" I whisper-yelled, starting to tap the table. "The matter Garroth is that about a few hours ago you murdered someone!" I continued to whisper.

"All I can think about is you stabbing him in the neck, and him dying right in front of us!"

The waiter had placed our food on the table in a tray, Garroth looked up at the waiter and thanked them.

Garroth quickly grabbed one of the packets from the table and held it in front of me.

"Do you want mustard...?"

"Garroth...who eats fries with mustard?"

"....Some people like it." Garroth had said, making me laugh.

Garroth tried to laugh along with me but quickly stopped, realizing his attempt was weak.

I stopped smiling and we stared at each other for a few minutes, Garroth reached out to grab my hand but I quickly pulled away.

"D-Don't touch m-me..." I stuttered out, pressing my back against the seat.

"I'm going to the bathroom." I said, rushing off.

I went into the bathroom and looked at the slightly open window giving me an idea.

"Should I really leave him...? What am I thinking, of course I should! He murdered someone...he could murder me too!"

I said to myself, opening up the window a big more and climbing out.

Garroth's P.O.V (Time skip)

It's been exactly 7 hours an Laurance hasn't come back from the bathroom.

When it was one hour in of waiting for Laurance I had realized he had left me.

I had sat here for the other 6 hours because I hoped that he would come back.

I slowly stood up from the booth and walked out the fast food place, walking around in the dark going where my feet led me.

I sat down on a park bench and looked at a tree that was across from me, twiddling my thumbs while doing so.

"I never knew the silence could be so....loud..."

"I think that's why Vylad and mum tried to avoid silence their whole life." I muttered to myself.

I looked down at the ground and breathed heavily, letting out a few whimpers.

I took a few more deep breaths and looked back at the tree, trying to calm myself down as I remembered what had happened this morning.

I can't get rid of it.

It's always gonna be there...

How did I get rid of the guilt when I used to kill those animals..?

I used to be able to just make it disappear.

Now I can't...not any more...

I got up off the bench and walked over to some teenagers that looked about my age, they were at the back of a gas station.

I tapped one of their shoulders and and reached into my pocket, pulling out all the cash I had with me.

The teenagers looked at me with a confused look.

"Can...can you beat me up..?" I asked in a low tone.

The ground of teenagers looked at each other and then back at me.

"Are you okay dude...?" One of the teenagers said.

"I-I'm fine! P-please can you beat me up...? I'll pay you!" I had said, offering them the cash.

They all looked at each other with confused faces, they all nodded and one of the teenagers took the money, then split it among all of them.

After they...beat up Garroth.

I laid on the ground and stared at the sky, my face marked up.

My left eye had a black and blue, while my cheek had a tiny cut, and my nose was bleeding.

I slowly got up and wiped my nose, walking away. I walked back to the park and tripped, falling face first into the grass, triggering my nose to start bleeding again.

I rolled over on my back and stared at the sky, making no attempt to get up.

I brung my hands up to my face and started to let out small sobs.

How did it take me so long to realize that...I wasn't the one protecting Laurance...Laurance was the one protecting me....

(HEYYYY....I'm sorry that I haven't updated my books in such a long time. I literally have to excuse. I was just lazy. Sooo...I hope you enjoyed this chapter. Buh bye!~)
