Chapter 6 | Can't Let Go

Eve's POV

I didn't know what to think. I was talking to Yoriko about possible suspects, and suddenly she put her head on my shoulder and wrapped some of my hair around her. I was going to tell her earlier, but she just looked so.. happy... I let her rest there for the rest of the train ride, and then woke her up out of her daydreaming.

Yoriko looked up at me with a cute face, and I couldn't keep myself from blushing once again. She looked so comfortable, and so determined to stay.. Normally she would move immediately when she does things like this.. but....

Yoriko's POV

I wasn't planning on getting off her shoulder. It just felt right. And I felt like she knew I wasn't moving too. And she did the most strange, unexpected thing of wrapping me in her hair, escorting me out of the train.

"S-She's actually letting me stay.." I thought she would become furious and scold me for not moving.. but she went along with it.. I was still cloaked in her hair as we walked down the sidewalk, some people smiling at us thinking we were just a cute couple.

Boy did I wish that was true..

Shad's POV

Me, Brian, and Kagayaki were at the Kuruville Café, waiting on Yoriko and Eve. Where were those two? Were they making out..? Oh man.. and I'm missing out on it. Anyway, I was flirting with Kagayaki hardcore. She's totally into me. If only Yoriko was as smooth with the ladies as I am.

Kagayaki's POV

Shad is such a loser. He wouldn't stop trying to hit on me, and I just had to fake-laugh at his lame jokes. We aren't a good match either way. His quirk is related to shadows, and mine is related to light. His shy friend, Brian was kind of cute though. His quirk is Earthquake, just makes me think if he can make the bed quake too.

Brian's POV

Shad was being annoying as usual, trying to hit on Kagayaki when she was clearly not into him. I could tell she was fake laughing, and overheard her whispering to herself on how Shad is such a dork when he went to the bathroom. Normally I would stand up for him, but for one, I'm shy and don't like to talk to others much. And two, she was right. But Shad's still my friend, no matter how annoying.

I did catch Kagayaki glancing over at me a few times though.

Reader's POV

Eve and Yoriko walked into the café, with Yoriko still enveloped in Eve's hair.

"Awww..." Kagayaki said, grinning at the two. Eve had completely forgot that the other 3 would be there, and released Yoriko from her hair.

Yoriko's POV

Dammit! Those third-wheels.. It was so nice... Everyone thinking we were together, which I wanted to be so desperately. Eve tried playing it off by saying "She was just cold." Yeah, from you giving me the cold shoulder. We sat down together at our booth, and ordered food as Eve began talking about the situation.

Big surprise, I zoned out and thought about how warm it made me feel inside when I was with Eve.. We were shoulder-to-shoulder.. and with her constantly looking down at me with her beautiful eyes... We were seconds away from holding hands again. Kagayaki redirected some light into my face, waking me up from my daydream.

"What are your thoughts, Yoriko?" Eve asked. I was screwed. I stopped listening after Eve said "Hello, everyone." I began to stammer "Uh.. we should find the villain w-w-who bombed the school a-a-and turn them in..?" They all looked at me with blank faces. "We were talking about what I should get for dessert." Shad said.

Talk about embarrassing. They had found out I wasn't paying attention at all.. They kept talking, letting me daydream. Sometimes I wondered how I got into such an important group.

Eve's POV

Yoriko was daydreaming, as usual. But I already missed the sensation I felt earlier while she was next to me, underneath my hair. I could tell she was enjoying it more than me. I loved to see Yoriko smile, it made me smile as well.

An idea popped into my head that would hopefully make Yoriko focus. I enfolded her in my hair again, using it to pull her over to me. That woke her up. She began blushing and smiling again, like earlier. I could tell she was focused too, it's the same look she has in class.

"Now that we're all focused.." I said, nudging Yoriko a bit. I began to ramble on about the situation, and this time Yoriko went and gave a few points, trying to help out the best she could. I could tell me wrapping her in my hair threw Kagayaki and Shad off, but Brian remained unphased as usual.

After an hour or so of chatting, we decided to ask the board about helping out with the investigation. We did have our Provisional Hero Licenses after all, and I was president of the most important community of the school.

As they got into Shad's car, he offered us both a ride. I could tell Yoriko wanted some private time between us two, so I declined his offer. Shad nodded, while also taunting us by making kissing sounds as we walked away together.

Yoriko's POV

I didn't know what was going on today. It seemed everything I thought of.. came true... Like how I really wanted to be next to Eve's warm body again.. and she did it.... she wrapped her hair around me again just like how I daydreamed of it.

As we stepped onto the train, I thought to myself: "What if.. my dirty thoughts come true as well?" Just thinking about it flustered myself. Eve used her credit card to rent our private train car, and we sat next to each other. Eve yawned. "Oh no." I thought, beginning to sweat.

Eve looked at me and released me from her hair. "I'm going to take a quick nap." She said in a calm voice. "I have to stay up late tonight and try to get in contact with some people." I nodded, and scooted over to make room for her. As she laid down, she blushed and said "No funny business, p-please.." and drifted off to sleep.

That made me blush, as expected. More crude thoughts crowded my mind. I waited a few minutes, and looked over to Eve, admiring her amazing and fit body. My trembling hand reached up, ready to do the same as I did last time. But the part of me that knew it was wrong prevented me from going any further. My hands fought each other, to decide the dominate side. As my perverted side overpowered my side with common-sense, my hands gently laid themselves on her breast.

I couldn't believe I was doing this. And she still hasn't woken up. They felt so nice, Like.. I wanted to lay my head between them... And so I did. Wrapping myself in her hair, I laid on top of her and put my head on her chest. I checked her condition. She was still lightly snoring.

I smiled, laying down once again. I could hear her heart beating a little, and her cute snore. Those sounds are what drifted me to sleep.

Reader's POV

Yoriko had fallen asleep on Eve's chest, wrapped in her hair as if it was a blanket.

One of Eve's eyes opened, and she smiled at the sight of Yoriko, then dozing off once again.
