                                                             Yoriko's POV

It was a normal day at our high school. I walked down the hallway, receiving little waves from everyone I walked past. I was just walking to our first class with Mr. Saikikku, when I saw.. her.

Eve Namida, my best friend from the beginning of Primary school up to now. She walked down the hallway so gracefully, everyone gawking at her, asking her to do their homework, some even bowed and offered her gifts. She was President of the most important community of the school, after all. I was super lucky to be her best friend, let alone talk to her.

I always felt some sort of way around her, a way I couldn't explain. I talked to another one of my friends, Hitokage about it. She said it was just love. I denied it multiple times, even though I knew it was true. I had a crush on Eve Namida. Hitokage had just recently broken up with a student from Yakamora High, and I would feel bad about talking about love around her.

I clutched my books in my arms, hugging them like a teddy bear. As I continued my walk to class, Eve began walking over to me. My stomach was twisted into a knot, and my face went hot, the usual feeling when I'm near her.

                                                               Reader's POV

Yoriko stood there, flustered as she waited for Eve to walk down to her.

"G-G-Good morning Madam President!" Yoriko bowed to Eve with great haste.

"Please Yoriko, you know we're friends.. you don't have to act so formal.. and why are you stuttering? Is something wrong?" Eve said.

"N-No.. just.. uh.." Yoriko felt weird. She had never spoken in such.. broken english.

"It's okay.. The bell is about to ring, anyways. Will I see you at the café this evening? We have much to go over about-"

"I'll be there, Mad- Eve! I will d-do anything you want!" Eve hadn't even gotten the chance to finish talking before Yoriko made up her mind.

"Gosh, how did I catch such a great friend like you?" Eve waved at Yoriko from over her shoulder as she walked to class.

"I've been asking the same question.."  Yoriko thought to herself as she followed Eve to class.

                                                             Yoriko's POV

Our teacher gave us a short 10-minute break because of how excellent we did on our last exams. Eve was swarmed by her other group of friends, so I didn't get the chance to talk to her. I slouched down in my chair, beginning to read a book. Hitokage walked over to me, placing her hand on my shoulder. Not only did it scare me, but she has a thing where she CANNOT control her quirk at times. I looked over at the smoke coming off of my shoulder, holding in a scream.

"Sorry!" She quickly apologized. "It's cool, no burn-ins this time." I said in my casual laid-back voice. "I just wanted to know what you and Eve were talking about earlier.. you were really red.. Do you like her that much?" I covered her mouth quickly. Hitokage could be SUCH a blabbermouth sometimes, but I just had to like her. She was a really good friend, really smart too. Though she could work on her vision. She has to come up and squint at the board every time. "Sorry again, Yoriko! I just think you two would be really cute together!" I sighed, pretending to be annoyed even though I had the same views as her. Shad walked over to us too, grinning with his smirk, annoying grin. "Are we talking about Eve and Yoriko again? Spill the tea, sisters." Shad died of laughter, but he stopped laughing and passed out as Hitokage necked him. Those martial arts classes were paying off.

As our break came to an end we were told to go change into our gym uniforms as Mr. Saikikku levitated out. "What a cool quirk.. Telekinesis." I never really liked my own quirk, even though many are just saying I am fishing for compliments. True, my quirk is really powerful.. but I can't really do much to expand it. I told my private tutor about it, and he just keeps saying "That's why you're in K.H."

As the school day ended, Eve walked over to me, smiling. Her smile makes me want to hug her until her eyes pop out, not really though.. that would be terrible. Her outfit was always extremely neat, while cute at the same time. "So, are you ready for our date?" I was completely flustered by that statement. Eve did her cute, bubbly laugh. "I'm joking, silly. Come on, there's much to discuss. I hope you brought your notebook." I nodded, adjusting my bookbag and walking along side her down the sidewalk to the train station. As we boarded the train to Kuruville, I wished she wasn't joking.
