Silver Lining: Carmelo Anthony/Steven Hunter

Chapter one

Carmelo Anthony is pregnant,

Carmelo's teammate Allen Iverson woke up to the sound of him gagging, throwing up and coughing. He was vomiting of all the foods he ate and yet, he came to the bathroom. "You alright there Dude?" Allen went to him. "I'm good Allen," Carmelo replies wiping the contents from his mouth with a tissue. "It's just a spoiled food I ate from yesterday," He was still coughing and coughing, not wanting to tell the coach he was pregnant.

The head coach comes in and asks what was happening, so he went to him. "Damn! Carmelo, What happened to you?" "Coach, I caught a bug," He complained holding on to the toilet bowl.

"Oh my, do you want to go home? Just get some rest until you feel better," "Okay Coach," He replied. Allen Iverson was his first boyfriend knowing that he and Carmelo missed catching up after they broke up. Ever since they were together for 6 years. They have been reconciled for the sake of their relationship. Melvin Hunt came to Carmelo as he confirmed that he broke his silence that he was experiencing the symptoms. It wasn't unusual for Carmelo Anthony to deal with all those stuff. "I'm concerned of late," Carmelo Anthony admitted to the head coach about the symptoms he was experiencing. "Why? What happened?" Carmelo didn't sound like the Carmelo Anthony that he was. "I had a stupid migraine and I couldn't do anything about it. Not only did I experience this type of symptoms, I tried to do some exercise and diet but it was a complete failure and all I did was to run to the locker room and start throwing up," "Oh my goodness!" His head coach gasped. "If you were concerned of late, have you considered taking a pregnancy test?" "No," he shook his head. "I don't think I did," "Okay, how about this? We can go to the clinic and figure out what was wrong with you ok?" He nodded as the head coach drives him to the clinic in Denver.

Next, he was checked by the nurse who had the knowledge about the pregnancies and birth. Thus, the nurse was from Manila Philippines and she ended up telling Carmelo Anthony about the confirmation. "The good news is, you're pregnant," Carmelo Anthony was confused.

Carmelo Anthony: I'm pregnant? What? No that's impossible.

She asked him if he had any S contact with anyone for the past few months.

Carmelo Anthony: Can we keep that a secret because I need to succeed in the NBA and I don't want to be suspended because of it.

The nurse had to admit that it was true and she said. "I'm very sorry Carmelo Anthony, I can't help you with that,"

However, it didn't take long for Carmelo Anthony to realize that he was pregnant, he got back from the doctor's office and started crying. "Why did this have to happen to me?" He was sobbing his eyes out. "My mom is going to be mad at me because of it," He wiped the tears on his face. I mean how is Steven Hunter going to find out about my pregnancy if I were to tell him?

Carmelo Anthony POV:

I went to the clinic with my head coach and the nurse confirmed to me that I am pregnant with the first baby. All I could do is cry because I know for a fact that it was impossible and I needed to have a medical clearance, so that I could play in the NBA. How will my mom react to this? Will she be mad at me or will she be supportive. If my dad were to be alive today, he would be very disappointed in me and I feel like a fool when it comes to the pregnancy and the NBA is going to suspend me indefinitely because of my wrongdoing. Although, I was hoping it wouldn't be because I know that I will be a great mom and I will do what I can to make sure that my baby is loved no matter what.

"I'm so sorry coach! I didn't mean to do it," He sobbed. "Melo, you don't need to apologize for what had happened, I'm a father too! So there is nothing for you to be ashamed of," He whispered.

Carmelo Anthony: yeah but what if my mom finds out?

Melvin Hunt: I'm sure she'll understand.

Carmelo Anthony: I know but she'll be mad at me if I tell her that I'm expecting a baby.

Melvin Hunt: I know Melo, I know.
