Carmelo Anthony- 4 months pregnant,

Since he was getting close to being sidelined for the rest of the game. One of the shirts that he wore on the Denver Nuggets game didn't fit him at all.

Carmelo Anthony: Damn it! Some of the shirts that I wore on the first game didn't fit me.

Mrs. Anthony: Everything ok there Melo?

Carmelo Anthony: everything is fine mom

Mrs. Anthony: Oh okay, Melo we're having a meeting with the midwife.

Carmelo Anthony: Okay mom I'm coming.

Next, Carmelo and his mother were meeting with the midwife. "Hi I'm Andrea, I'll be in charge of helping everyone deliver their babies, are you considering doing a home birth?" She asked. "Yes I do," Carmelo replied. "I'm going to do a home birth since mom is around anyway," "Ah I see and that's good," She answered. "How's the baby doing?" "Oh! Kicking like there is no tomorrow," He smiled. "I see, so since your son is doing a home birth, I'm certain he would be comfortable here at home just to give birth to a baby," "Right!" She answered to the midwife. The first things she did is to provide the lap pads in which he could lay on so the mattress won't get stained with his the fluids when he gives birth to a baby. Since standing at 6'7" and weighing at 240 lbs. this might be a bit challenging for Carmelo to give birth because he is on the overweight side, but he was hoping that it will not cause any problems or yet the baby would be a bit bigger on the first day. In the meantime, the midwife would do what she can if the baby's shoulders got stuck near his pelvis or the cord being wrapped around the neck. Either the midwife or his mother will untie the cord. Although, his mother and the midwife will do it altogether.

In fact, he could hardly wait for the moment that the baby is going to be born but the painful birth in which Carmelo would be facing is that he is not looking forward to it. "Mom, what if it hurts?" He asked. "It's normal to hurt during birth because you could feel the baby's head crowning," "Oh okay," He said. "Yeah I know it will hurt," "You'll be fine Melo," She smiled. "I'm sure you'll overcome this pain no matter what," He hugged his mother and thanked her for being there for him when he needed her the most and yet, if his father had been alive today, he would've seen Carmelo have a baby in his arms.

Carmelo Anthony POV:

My meeting with the midwife went well and yet, I have been planning to have a home birth since I wanted to feel comfortable in my own home, so that I can spend time with my family. Besides, I know for a fact that I am very excited to become a mother and all I can think of was to be there for my baby and my loved ones.

Next, he went to the stadium as the head coach wanted to speak with him. Although, the head coach Melvin hunt suggested to Carmelo Anthony that he will be sidelined for the rest of the nba season because he wanted him to take care of himself and the baby. It was an amazing decision for him to make because he knows that he wanted Carmelo to take a day off and he didn't have to worry about the stress that he would deal with the situation as an athlete. "Thank you coach you have no idea what it means to me," He said hugging his head coach. "And if you ever want to go back to the game let me know, but otherwise take the rest of the season off and please call me when the baby is born, so that I can get to know the little bundle," "Of course you will," The head coach of the Denver Nuggets decided to have Carmelo Anthony take the rest of the season off. It may be heartbreaking for the fans knowing that he is not going to play because of the personal reasons and he will be missing the games due to pregnancy. At least, Carmelo can spend time with his family and no matter the odds, he can still be an athlete and a mother.
