Silver Lining: Carmelo Anthony/Steven Hunter

Chapter two

Denver, Colorado,
9:00pm,

"Carmelo? Carmelo?" His mother comes to his room to have a talk with him. "Yes mom, what is it?" "Oh I just wanted to come in check on you, how are you doing?" "I've been alright mom," Carmelo sighed. "I'm sure this happens to me at the game," "So Melo, what happened? Did something unusual happen at the game?" She asked. "No mom I don't think so, it was fine until I started to feel unwell," He explained.

Mrs. Anthony: Wait! Really? What happened?

Carmelo Anthony: I started to feel nauseous in the middle of the game and I ended up going to the clinic.

Mrs. Anthony: Oh okay.

Carmelo Anthony: that is why I have been acting a little off lately.

Mrs. Anthony: you should've told me about it before.

Carmelo Anthony: I know but I didn't want you to be upset with me.

Mrs. Anthony: Oh okay. So what is it that you wanted to tell me?

Carmelo Anthony: Mom I don't know what to say this, but I'm pregnant.

Carmelo was sobbing his eyes out to his mother.

Carmelo Anthony: Mom I'm very sorry, I didn't know what to do. I didn't mean to do this on myself. It was an accident. Mom... Mom... I don't know what to do. It's not what you think it is Mom.

His mother came to him and hugged him.

Carmelo Anthony: I'm sorry mom, I really do.

Mrs. Anthony: It's okay, it's okay. Don't worry about it Melo, we'll figure this out together.

Carmelo Anthony: I know, I just didn't want you to be mad at me that I told you about my pregnancy.

Mrs. Anthony: It's okay, don't worry at all.

He continues sobbing.

Mrs. Anthony: Hush now Melo, I'm sure it will be alright. By the way, I'm going to be a grandma.

Next, he called his boyfriend Steven Hunter about what happened and yet, he was so excited that he is going to be a father. In fact, it didn't take long for Carmelo Anthony to take the news knowing that they were going to be parents. However, the most challenging part that he would have to deal with is to balance the life between being an athlete and a mother. Somehow, it got to the point that he didn't have to worry about it anymore knowing that his mother told him that she will figure something out together with Carmelo.

He called Steven Hunter about the situation that he was going through and Steve had told him not to worry about it and all he could do is to attend the follow up appointments with him to make sure he and Carmelo were getting the right information and treatment that he needed.

Carmelo Anthony POV:

I went to the doctor with my mom and yet, she was excited to see the results that my pregnancy is healthy. In fact, I really miss the old me. The old me who would enjoy being so young and playful just like what I would do as a child even though my father wasn't with me anymore, I wanted to make the most out of the years being an athlete and a mother. I'm sure that my father would be proud of the person I was today. I wonder what my father would feel once I give birth to my little bundle. Although, everyone was hoping my baby was going to be a boy or a girl. Yet, we'll have to wait and see. I talked to my boyfriend about it and everything went well. My mom and I were discussing about the motherhood and man! She was laughing because I am making her a grandma hahaha 🤣. Okay I should stop now lol! Although, I thanked my fans, my friends and my mom for being there for me when I found out that I was pregnant with my first child. In case you may be wondering how many kids you wanted me to have, I'll think about it first haha.

Hi everyone! My apologies for putting this story on hold because I didn't have any motivation to write on the Carmelo Anthony fanfics due to busy schedules but aye! Thankfully I still have the time to write and yet, I didn't discontinue it because I know for a fact that I was thinking of the ideas by watching some films. Although, if I am thinking of the birth scene where Carmelo Anthony gives birth to a baby boy or a girl. Where do you want him to have a baby at? At the house in Denver or hospital?
