Author's Note

As you may have guessed, I am rewriting "The Story of the Caelum Siblings," now titled, "The Children of Fate." Rather than edit it, I have decided to rewrite it altogether. You see, when I had completed the original, my Spanish teacher asked me to print it off so that she didn't have to stare at a computer screen even longer than she had to. Of course, it took some time to print said story out, due to how long it was. Luckily, and by mistake I might add, my teacher printed off three copies of the original. She kept the first copy to read for herself, I gave the second copy to my best friend's mom so she could read it and I kept the third copy for myself.

I read over my copy multiple times to make sure I had it right. Immediately, I realized I didn't have it how I wanted it to be. So I began making notes in the margins, fixing things and essentially attempting to rewrite it from scratch, while keeping the events I liked most the same, or slightly altered. Of course, by the time I'm typing this whole "Author's Note" out, I'm only writing the rough draft of chapters 2-5.

I had faced a lot during the time I wrote the original. I had faced losing some of my family, I lost a lot of people I cared about. To keep me from staying in a depressed state, I signed up for Wattpad and made so friends who shared an interest in writing stories like I did. I was only an 8th grader, sitting bored in English when I began typing up the first 4 paragraphs of the original. Heh, of course my 8th grade English teacher wasn't all too thrilled that I wasn't paying attention in her class but I bet she understood that I was listening to her lessons with each paragraph she read when I turned in writing assignments. Much like any teacher, she saw the potential in me when it came to writing stories and essays.

Essentially, what I'm trying to say is, although my teachers don't have Wattpad, I want to dedicate this entire story to every teacher I have had over the years. It doesn't matter what subject they teach or have taught in the past. They have supported me and pushed me to achieve something I never thought I could be able to achieve on my own. Without them, I would probably be one of the worst students in the aspect of grades and probably would never have decided to go further with my education. So to every teacher who strives to give your students that push to help guide them, this story is for you. Thank you.
