Being the king of Galtolga wasn't all it was cut out to be. Sure, you had the money, the power, and the respect, but at what cost?
Don't get me wrong, I love my job and I love my people, we treated each other with a mutual respect. But the job is just so demanding, it was hard to keep up on at times.
Which is why I spent most of my days absolutely exhausted, there were so many expectations, too many rules, this goes like this, and that has to be done like that. Who even decided this?
That was how we kept peace upon our lands for so long, or so they said. But things were changing again, history was repeating itself, and the challenges that were lurking around every corner had me anxious.
I was barely sleeping, the fact that I couldn't even discuss this with Adrian only made things worse, I always put all of my faith and trust in Adrian, but I felt like I was doing him wrong by keeping this from him.
But I was just following rules, always following rules.
Things could only remain a secret for so long, soon the truth would be revealed to all, and I will be the one to face the backlash of that.
Darker days are coming, and it's my job to do everything in my power to protect my people.
Of course, I would sacrifice myself to save the citizens of Galtolga if it came to it. I have to be strong and more knowledgeable than ever before.
If only I had my keeper to help me through this, but that thought would have to stay dormant for now, I have a job to do.
A storm is coming, and I don't plan on losing.

Hi hi hi, welcome to Kings in Love, the third book in the Memento series. If you haven't read the first two, I recommend doing so to avoid confusion, but as always, I will try to clear everything up as the story goes along for those who jumped straight into this one.
I'm working on some other things at the moment so I'm afraid this book will have some pretty slow updates, but I will try my best to update when I can.
