Chapter 3

"Babe wake up you gotta get a good night sleep for school tomorrow." I hear Jack say while lightly shaking me. "I'm up i'm up, what time is it?" I ask sitting up and rubbing my eyes. Jack is getting out of bed and i realize he's only in boxers and no shirt. Damn he has nice abs. "Can i help you find something?" He asks smirking. I blush and nod my head. "Its 10 after 7" He says putting on a shirt and some shorts. "I better be heading home i have to get ready for school tomorrow" I say getting up, realizing i never put my flannel back on and that i was only in a bra and leggings. I suddenly began to feel really self conscious about my body and i covered my stomach with my hands. Jack noticed and he came over to me. "Never hide yourself i front of me princess, your perfect babe you have nothing to hide" He said lightly kissing my forehead. "Thanks Jack" I say back and throw on my flannel. "I'm scared for tomorrow, what if everybody hates me?" I ask. The thought that i actually have to go to school tomorrow hits me again and suddenly i feel like crying. "No one can ever hate you beautiful, your perfect Ri everyone will love you, i have to keep an eye out on the guys though, make sure no one steals you from me." He says smiling lightly and looking into my eyes. I kiss him softly on the lips. "But girls are always so judge mental and mean and rude and I bet all the girls are all over you so they'll probably hate me for being your friend and-" I was cut off by a pair of lips crashing into mine. Our lips moved in sync for about 5 seconds until I pulled away. I couldn't be happy right now, not even with Jack. "i'm sorry Jack I'm just really nervous, I'm gonna head home." I say sighing and heading towards the door. "No Ri I'm not gonna let you leave while your upset, I'm afraid you'll do something stupid and regret it later, come sit back down Ri." Jack said holding my hand and leading me back to his bed. Once we both sat down he started talking. "Look Ri I know your nervous, of course you are it's a new school in a whole new state and you've only been here two days and you barely know anyone but you have me, and Brian, and all the guys. You gotta just trust me Riley everything will be fine." Jack says pulling me into a hug. Good thing i came over here with Brian today cause if i didn't I'd still be home all alone and i wouldn't know anyone. "Thanks Jack, thanks for everything, but i gotta get home and shower and get ready for school tomorrow and everything." I say "Hey let me give you a ride." Jack says getting up and grabbing his keys. "Jack i live up the road you don't need t-" "I want to Ri, its already almost dark and I'm not letting you walk home by yourself and if i did your brother would kill me" Jack answers chuckling. We went to his car and once we got to my house I unbuckled and was about to get out. "Ri wait." Jack said grabbing my arm which made me flinch. "Ri I'm so sorry i totally forgot are you ok are you hurt?" Jack asked getting panicked. "Jack jack shh its alright I'm fine." I said. "I'll see you tomorrow" I say kissing his cheek. "Love you Ri" i hear him say just as I close the door. "Love you too Jack" i say, but he could only read my lips since he was inside the car now and I wasn't.

"Ri where have you been?" Brian yells from upstairs just after i closed the door. "At Jack's, you knew that." I said annoyed. Is he stupid where did he think I went. "Why were you there for so long he didn't try anything on you right cause if he did I swear ill kick his-" Brian started getting angry. "Bri he didn't try anything, we were just hanging out, watching tv." I say. I love my brother to death but man does he get annoying. "I'm gonna go shower and then head to bed, don't wanna be unprepared and tired for me first day!!" I say really enthusiastically but you can hear the sarcasm in my voice. I grabbed a towel, underwear, an over-sized t shirt, my speakers and my phone and headed to the bathroom. The first song that came on was Amnesia by 5sos. I love them, there music is literally perfection and Luke does not have one flaw, he's perfect. "I drove by all the places you used to hang out getting wasted" I sang. Once that song was over i went through about 6 more and then turned off the water and got out of the shower. I tried myself and wrapped a towel around my head and threw on my shirt and underwear. I got back to my room and was laying on my scrolling through Instagram. I grow tired and shut off my phone, plugging it in. I drift off to sleep thinking about a new school tomorrow. Here goes nothing.
