Chapter 14

"Enjoying yourself, I see you found my room." He let out a chuckled followed by his sweet smile. His eyes lit up to hope and happiness, they both know that they're meant to be.

She froze when he caught her red-handed. This is definitely Maria's plan to have Laylana here, but in his room he believes Maria respects that kind of line.

He heard her breathe out and meet her red blushed cheeks turned to face him.

" Yes I am, quite much in fact, you have a lovely, comfortable shirt."

"I probably wouldn't wash that shirt again. Even if it's my favorite, you can have it if you wanted it? "

"What if it's not what I wanted? " she smirked as he slowly approach her.

"Careful Dr. Williams, I may have accidentally broke your frame. " he laughed as the shards were above his shoes.

Normally Maria would make him wear slippers instead, than his shoes but tonight was an exception even if it's breaking one of his Queen's rule of the house smelling her scent and hearing her heartbeat was something to die for.

"I think I may need a new one. It was out of style. "

His fingers ran over to her cheek, looking down to look at her eyes deeply then to her lips slightly part and wanting.

"Can I kiss you? " he asked.

"I might bite. " she grinned as he cupped her cheek and kiss her lips.

He swore he could hear angels sing from above and hers were wedding bells and laughter. Such sweetness, tender and bliss.

A cinnamon bun with a hot cup of rose and vanilla tea, what a great way to start brewing life together.

Breaking off the kiss was the hardest thing they both could do but Laylana's growling stomach said so.

"Sorry. " she smile embarrassed.

"It's alright, I know werewolves tend to eat a lot than humans. " he chuckled.

"Now let's have dinner shall we, sorry I got a little late I had someone with me. " as they walked downstairs hearing laughter.

"Oh who was it? " she asked.

"Stop it mama! " the ten year old shriek in laughter as Maria tickled Lilith to her sides as punishment of eating one of the cinnamon buns.

"Mama? " Laylana asked.

'You just had to ruined a good moment. ' Maria linked to Atticus which he only grin.

"Laylana meet my cousin-"

"Oh stop it Ma!  Hi I'm Lilith, Maria's kinda step daughter. " the girl Shook hands when Laylana.

Maria had her head low and thankful her daughter lied.

"Oh you're Basile's daughter, you do look like him! Why call Maria Mama?"

"Why shouldn't I? "

"Why? "

"Why ask me then?  I already gave you an answer. Aren't you satisfied with that? "

"We definitely have a sarcastic one like you Maria! " Laylana laughed as the black haired girl rolled her eyes.

"I thought you were the sarcastic one! " Maria's voice louder.

"You acted like a dead person when you visited my house! "

"Your dad's! Plus that house reminded me of prison! "
