We changed clothes and headed to the town square to meet with Zane. When we found him, he had his sandy brown hair in a low ponytail, a blue button up shirt, and black slacks. He was sitting down on a bench with his hands in his pockets. When we walked over to him, he stood up and bowed slightly to Val.
"My Lady," he said, handing her a bunch of brightly colored flowers. His tone was respectful but soft.
"What are you doing?" Zane didn't respond to her. "You can stand, Zane." She grabbed the flowers. "Thank you. You didn't have to bow to me or give me flowers. It's not like this is a date or anything."
"No, but you are my Eminence and I wanted to show your friends that I plan on respecting you in every aspect tonight."
"They're more than my friends, Zane. They're my lovers, my consorts. And the only reason we're doing this is because they're also vampires and unfortunately I can't get pregnant from a vampire."
"I am well aware. I have no intention of pursuing anything with you after tonight without your consent. But I still wouldn't want you to think I was rude."
"I hope it's okay that they'll be participating." He looked passed Val to us. His eyes shone from the lights twinkling above.
"I was kind of hoping they would..." He smirked. Val grabbed his hand and we headed back to the top floor of the golden building.
I kept eyeing Zane in the lift trying to gauge his body language. He was very relaxed and almost seemed like a completely different person. He stood leaning against the wall, with his arms lightly crossed. I could see Chris was staring at him too. This was definitely going to be an interesting night.
When we go to the kitchen, Val took a few bottles of alcohol out of the cabinet and set them down on the counter. She poured four glasses and handed one to each of us. We clinked the glasses the glasses together and took the shot. She started to pour another, and then we drank that one.
"Before we do this, I want to make sure one more time that you're okay with this, and that you won't try to do something stupid later on. I intend to raise the child with Liz and Chris. They will be well cared for and I don't really think it would be necessary for you to come around and confuse them."
"Not at all, Your Highness," Zane said, putting his glass on the counter.
"Call me Val, please."
"Not at all, Val. I'm here to complete a task, and complete it I will."
"And if it takes a few tries?"
"I have no plans for the rest of the evening. I'm yours until my services are no longer needed." I could sense the tension in the air and I was getting excited. Val poured another glass for each of us. When we drank it, Chris and Zane made eye contact and though drinking, Zane still managed to smile. Chris put his half-drunk glass on the counter and walked towards Zane. He put his arm behind his neck and started to make out with him. Zane pushed him back against the counter and kissed back.
"That's what I'm talking about...!" Val put her glass down and pushed up against me. I tried to find the counter top to put my glass on but ended up dropping it on the floor. I picked her up and sat her on the counter. Zane and Chris were moaning behind us. Chris rushed Zane to the bedroom and I took Val. We threw them both onto the bed and switched. Zane was sitting up against the headboard, and I sat on his lap. I ripped his shirt open as we kissed.
