“Could you please show me some ID?” The lady asked.

After I couldn’t get into my room because I had no extra key, I went back downstairs to ask for one at the front desk. I slid my ID across the counter.

The woman examined it for a second.

“Here you go,” she said grabbing a key from a drawer.

“Thank you,” I said taking the key and my ID.

I still hadn’t seen Emma or any of the other girls. Harry and Nicole were still out, I guessed Zayn was still with Emma and Louis and Liam were off somewhere. Niall went to his room to change while I had gotten a key, and he was waiting for me when I got back upstairs.

“Get a key?” He asked when I came around the corner.

“Yes, finally, after arguing with the aggravating woman,” I said and he laughed as I opened the door.

“So I’ll wait for you and then we can go get your phone,” he said shoving his hands in the pockets of his grey sweatpants.

“You can come in…” I said stepping inside.

“Thought it was illegal,” he joked as I flicked on the light.

“We’ve already broke about three laws, so no harm in breaking one more,” I said dropping my bag onto the floor by the TV.

“True,” he said shutting the door behind him.

Emma had already packed most of her things back up, her suitcase was leaned up against the wall by her bed along with her shoes beside it. My things had been scattered around the room earlier but now the clothes were folded in a chair and my shoes were lined against the wall, the beds were also made and the crumbs of Cheetos Emma had left under the table were gone.

“I’m gonna go in the bathroom and change, you can sit down if you want,” I said digging in my suitcase for some clothes.

He plopped down on my bed and watched me.

“I forgot I left your camera in my room,” he said when I stood up.

“I’ll get it when we get back,” I said walking to the bathroom as he turned the TV on.

I quickly changed into some plain blue jeans and pulled a hoodie on over a tank top. I heard the TV flicking channels in the other room. My hair smelled like salt water and was still damp. I didn’t bother with it, it was too messy. I stepped back into the room looking for a pair of shoes to put on.

“Rubbish,” Niall mumbled when I walked past him.

“What?” I asked looking up as I pulled on my shoes.

“Nothing…” He said turning the channel.

“What is it?” I asked, now wondering what he had saw.

“It was just the news,” he said shrugging as he continued to scan the channels.

“Okay then,” I said grabbing my key from my bag and sticking it in my pocket.

“Ready?” Niall asked turning the TV off.

“Yep,” I nodded opening the door.

“Cat or dog?” Niall asked.

“Cat,” I said as we passed a shop we had gone in earlier.

“Seriously? I didn’t take you as a cat person,” he said hitting some wind chimes.

“I have one back home,” I said sticking my hands in the pocket of my hoodie.

“Okay, your turn,” he said as we turned a corner.
