“How long have you been awake?” I asked as Niall rolled off of me.

“I woke up right as my ringtone ended, but I thought you were still asleep so I didn’t want to move and wake you,” he said grabbing his phone off the bedside table.

“Oh..” I said, watching him as he stared at his screen.

He had changed out of the grey sweats he had on the night before, now he was wearing navy colored ones and no shirt. His hair was sticking up weirdly while some of it was flat. He yawned before typing something.

Then it hit me; I was leaving in 4 hours, and I didn’t want to go.

“I should probably go. I have to get my pictures to Marie by twelve,” I said sliding off the bed.

“Alright.. I’ll see you later,” he said throwing his phone down and getting off the bed too.

“Yeah,” I said grabbing my camera before leaving.

I now wished I would’ve made a better effort on the photos, then maybe I would’ve actually had a chance at returning next month. But I didn’t, and I couldn’t change that. I was glad I spent yesterday with Niall, because it would probably be the last I would get to hang out with him.

I pulled my key out and opened my door.

Emma wasn’t back. I figured she wouldn’t be. I sat my camera down and grabbed my phone off the table.

Two message and three missed calls.

“What time is your flight?” My Mom.

“Where r u?” Emma.

Two calls were from my Mom and one was from Nicole.

I texted Emma back “In our room. Where are you?” and dug some clothes out of my suitcase.

My phone beeped and I checked it.

“Downstairs eatin breakfast with every1.. & u & Niall aren’t here..” she said.

“He’s in his room, I’m coming down in a bit,” I texted back before changing my clothes.

I packed up my clothes, making sure I didn’t forget anything. I was getting my stuff from the bathroom when my phone rang.

“Hello?” I said grabbing my stuff off the sink and walking back to my room.

“Why didn’t you call me back?” My Mom asked.

“I’m sorry, I’m trying to get everything packed,” I said, though my apology didn’t reach my words.

“Oh.. what time is your flight?” She asked.

“At one,” I said zipping the outside pocket of my suitcase up.

“And that’s what time here?” She asked.

“I don’t know,” I said grabbing my Polo’s from the corner.

“Well I’ll figure it out, I’ll let you finish packing. I miss you so much, can’t wait to see you,” she said.

“Me too,” I said as she clicked off, probably cutting my words off.

And just like that, the bit of happy I had left in me from the night before, was gone. I debated whether or not I should take my pills, but I ended up not. I pulled my shoes on and piled my bags up in the corner. I made sure everything of mine was packed, before getting my memory card and heading downstairs.

I stepped through the door of the ballroom and immediately felt someone’s eyes on me. I didn’t look up. I just made my way across the room to Marie. I gave her the memory card before going to get something to eat. Once I got my food, I turned around to find Emma or Nicole, and saw Anna watching me.
