Author's note: just a couple of things I need to say before we start with this chappie.

Feminism is a collection of movements and ideologies aimed at defining, establishing, and defending equal political, economic, cultural, and social rights for women. This includes seeking to establish equal opportunities for women in education and employment.

A feminist advocates or supports the rights and equality of women.

A lot of people don't really understand what it means to be a feminist.

When I was 13 I decided that I was a feminist because of all the things I experienced growing up.

Feminists, most of the time come off as hateful towards men. Girls, this is not what a true feminist should do. The problem of gender inequality cannot be solved by dissing or being hateful to boys.

Remember that for us to get respect we need to respect them as well.

"Respect is reciprocal."

It's okay to say how you feel on certain topics but just don't go round flipping the finger to every guy that you see. This is disrespectful and wrong. Whether we like it or not, we have to co-exist with them.

Now that I have that cleared up, let's go on...

----------------------------

Question: Ladies, what do you want?

Answers:

1) "I want to be able to wear what I want, say what I feel and do what I want to without having to worry about the boys."

2) "I want to be able to meet a guy at a bar and not worry about him possibly raping me."

3) "I want to be able to walk pass a group of guys and not worry about them making inappropriate comment or raping me with their eyes."

4) "I don't want to be scared when I'm in my dorm alone at night, that's why I want."

5) "I want to be able to go for night strolls and not worry about being assaulted."

6) "I don't want to be called things like 'slut', 'bitch', 'whore' or 'hoe' for just saying 'no'."

7) "I want to earn the same as my male colleagues."

8) "I don't want my kids to be victims of what I had to go through when I was younger."

9) "I want more fathers to teach their sons not to objectify women."

10) "I want my last breath to be a breath of relief, not pain."

11) "I don't want my future children to grow up in the fear of most women are facing right now."

12) "I want to be at ease. I want to be free."
